ENDURE SUFFERING
1 PETER 4:12-19
Key Verse: "Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf" (1 Peter 4:16).
There are times that your faith in God will be tried. All you need to do in those trying times is to stand on the word of God as your strength. Let the Spirit of God lead and guide you through.
The world is in enmity with the things of God and the people of God. The devil is also on the lookout for anyone who is careless with their faith. He brings challenges to such person's way. The only way to overcome the devil is through the word of God and prayers.
Even in a world that is against the Christian, God still expects you to stand firm and uphold the truth. Christ suffered on the cross for us. We also will face sufferings for the sake of Christ. The best thing is to stand with God no matter what. Staying on God's side till the end will pay off. You will enjoy everlasting life.
If anyone goes away from following Christ because of trials, such is subjected to eternal destruction. Remember that life is not a bed of roses. There are thorns on the way. But if you determine that you will stand, nothing can move you. Look unto Jesus because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Prayer: Oh Lord, give me the grace to be a true Christian.
