TOPIC: GOD'S LAWS: SAME IN EVERY NATION
TEXT: ROMANS 7:11-13
Key Verse: "Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful" (Romans 7:13).
Human beings naturally find it easy to do wrong. That is why laws are made to guide them. The Bible is God's guide and law for all people - young and old. It is the same for every nation. When we act contrary to the laws of God, we sin.
There are nations, who, against the laws of God, freely permit sins like: marriage between a man and another man or a woman and another woman, or marriage between a man and a woman who are closely related, separation between husband and wife, and other bad and worldly practices.
There are comedians, actors, actresses and musicians who earn a 'filthy' living by making jest of sin. God frowns at sin. Run from sin. Separate from sinful friends. Never speak corrupt words. Do not relish in singing and dancing to the tunes of unclean songs. Reject sinful thoughts. Resist the agents of sin. Deny your flesh of the pleasure of sin.
Only true repentance, salvation, total obedience to the Word of God and a daily determination to please Christ in all things, can help you to hate sin all your life. Keep yourself pure.
Prayer: Lord, help me to hate sin and keep away from it.
