MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: EXPLOITS THROUGH DAILY PENTECOSTAL WITNESS.
MARK 16:15-20; LUKE 24:45-49; ACTS 5:27-29.
we thank God for what He has emphasized to us, that here we are on earth as Pilgrims on our ways to heaven, and as we are walking along, there will be the tractors, traitors, and tempters that will not wants us to get to the end of the Journey, that's why the Lord has brought us together here so that He will equip us, and He will prepare us, He will empower us, so all the power we need, all the strength we need, all the ability we need, all the skill we need, not just to do something within a few hours, or within a few days, but to work /walk confidently, courageously, and fearlessly and boldly in the Kingdom, and walking all through life victoriously, that's why He brought us here, and I believe, He has strengthened us already, and the strength of the Lord will never fail in our lives IN Jesus Name Amen. He has empowered us, it's the power for the present hour, everyday of our lives, we are going to keep on experiencing that Power IN Jesus Name Amen. We will not fail, we will not fall because the power of the Lord will hold us all IN Jesus Name Amen.
Now, He wants us to go out and do exploits, before Jesus Christ left His disciples, here is what He gave them, the Lord JESUS Christ left a great commission, and He said, this is the great assignment He's giving them, He has died and now, He's going to heaven, He has died for the world already, He shed His blood on the Cross of Calvary, but He said, everybody must know about this for their salvation, everybody around us, everybody in your community, everybody in your state, everybody in your region, everybody in the nation, and everywhere, so He said, "GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURES". He says, proclaim that gospel, announce that gospel, spread that gospel, tell everybody around you in the world that Jesus Christ died for the sinners, tell everybody around you that JESUS Christ is the Saviour, and He's the only Saviour. The Gospel is a great news of the grace of God, the gospel is a great news of the love of God, that God loves everyone, and He's not willing that anybody should perish, tell everyone, say it to everyone, preach that to everyone, emphasize that to everyone, the number one thing you ought to if you're not able to do any other things, this is the number one thing that believers, and every child of God is suppose to do, telling the gospel, preaching the gospel, proclaiming the good news of salvation, and the good news of the mercy of God, and the good news of the love of God unto everyone around you, and He said, "go", that word "GO" is a verb, is a word of action, not just that you sit down in the church or you're worshiping in the church, or singing in the church, or praying in the church, or doing maintenance in the church, go to the people out there, the people in the world, go to the people who are sinners, go to the people that need to hear the word of salvation, and then He says,he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. I pray that our people will not be damned, your relatives will not be damned, your friends will not be damned, even your enemies will not be damned, that's why JESUS says, if they are not going to experience damnation, if they are not going to perish, already the Love of God is manifested, He's sending JESUS Christ to died for us, and now, the responsibility is for you to go and tell them, and go and tell everyone around, and as you obey, He says, and these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. Signs don't follow people who are just sitting somewhere, but it follows people who are on the Go, who are on the move, the people who are taking the gospel and taking it to everywhere, those are the people that the Power, the anointing and the gifts of the Spirit, and the manifestation of supernatural Power will follow.
He says,they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. He doesn't say, only the pastors will lay hands on the sick, and they shall recovered, He says, "they", that means everybody that obey His commandment, He means all the preachers, all the people who are going forth, all the believers who are going forth with the good news, with the transforming Gospel, they are the one that will lay hand on the sick and they shall recover. We are the people, not just one man, not just pastors, He's referring to everybody, as we rise up in the power of the Lord, and in the strength, in the might of the Spirit of God, sometimes, even though we read that in the Bible, when it comes to the practice, then we contradicts ourselves. We don't have to wait for some special people, we don't have to wait for some appointed, anointed people and the pastors, we can do that with the Power of God abides in us, and so we understand, after He has spoken to the disciples, and they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Obedience is what He's saying here, He says, we must obey, it's when we obey the word of God by preaching the gospel, then the signs will follow us this is the beginning of spiritual activities, this is the beginning of going forth everywhere, so that as you go, as everybody goes, and as the preaching of the gospel is taking place everywhere many people will coming to know the Lord In Jesus Name Amen. The people that are going to see the Lord working with them in Pentecostal power, in Pentecostal supernatural anointing, they are the people that go forth. As we are going through all this Scriptures, the Lord will open your understanding IN Jesus Name. And the Lord is revealing to us His word and while the future is coming up, while the Lord is Leading us to something new, something higher, something greater, we should not allow our past to destroy our future, in the case of these Apostles, the Lord opened their minds, and ayes and their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures and as we understand the scriptures, we are moving on. He has given us power, and that Power is to preach, that power is not just for to sit home, is the power to be a witness, and effective witness of the Lord Jesus Christ, that is what we are living for, and that's what we suppose to do, and as we go out, we are going to do it In Jesus Name Amen. Evangelism will be our focus, reaching out to perishing souls will be our focus, that's what we gave our lives for, and that's what Christ has commanded us, we are going to do it, and when we do it in the way He wants us to do it, and then we emphasize on the things that Christ has commanded us, and we exalt, and we lift up what Jesus Christ has commanded us, exploits, supernatural Power, miracles, signs and wonders will follow us. Evangelism is what we must do everyday.
POINT ONE: THE CALL TO DAILY PERSUASIVE WITNESS.
ACTS 1:8; 5:42; 8:4.
Witnessing Christ in the world is our Call, and that's commandment, that's the commission, that is the call He and given us, and He says, it's a call to daily persuasiveness. He's said, we shall be witnessess unto Him, witnessess not unto ourselves, witnesses not unto our denomination, witnesses not unto our friends, witnesses not unto our own personal opinion, but witnesses unto Christ. That Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, that He died to save sinners, and that His will, His desires, His passion is to have the whole of the world be saved. He's not willing that anybody should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Go and be a witness to that, that Jesus Christ so love us, He died for the world, go and be a witness to that, that God in heaven does not wants to judge anyone to go to hell fire, He wants everybody to repent and to turn unto the Lord. Go and be a Witness unto that. That there's no other name whereby we must be saved, it is only JESUS that brings this salvation, go and be a witness to that, all the 120 people that got power at the day of Pentecost, He said they will be witnesses unto Him, and then we have the Holy Ghost, and the Power of the Lord upon us, we reach out and after we reach out to the souls, the Lord will bless the people and saved the people IN Jesus Name Amen.
He's telling us that, this commission and the call and the commandment is giving to everyone of us, that is what the early church also did, they rose up in the strength of the Lord, in the power of the Holy Ghost, and they did what they ought to do, we are going to do it In Jesus Name Amen. Whatever it is, you're not going to allow anything to replace it, and whatever it is you're doing that replaces that commission, and you're giving an excuse to what the Lord has not commanded, if we are not doing the greater thing the Lord has commanded us, then, that's not the will of God, everybody must be involved. Not only workers, all the 120 people in the early church that waited in the upper room, not just workers, those were the people that saw Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and then they all received the Holy Ghost and then they were the witnesses and every place they were, they preached the word of God. You will do it, all the believers in Jerusalem were scattered abroad when persecution came, and they went everywhere preaching the gospel. Phillip alone went to Samaria as the persecution drove them away, and when Philip got there, there was no partner, there was no singers, there was no ushers, there was no supporters, there was no prayer warriors, this man alone because of the Spirit of God that he had, he stood firm and he preached the gospel of salvation. If you're in the village over there, start something, if you're in the city over there, start something, and then after Philip started, he then sent to Jerusalem, not that other disciples should come and support him or to evangelize, but he sent to them just to give them information that there's a great revival at Samaria. The Lord has given us a calling, and we are going to fulfil the calling IN Jesus Name Amen.
POINT TWO: THE CONQUERORS WITH DIVINE PREVAILING WEAPON.
ROMANS 8:37; 2 CORITNHIANS 10:4-5; 1 JOHN 4:4; 2:14.
We have a weapon in our hands, we have the instrument in our hands, we have the tool in our hands, and He has given us that weapon, it's a divine weapon and it makes us more than conquerors. Everyone that names the Name of Christ, everyone that has the power of the Holy Ghost, and everyone that has that anointing are more than conquerors. Jesus didn't love only the Apostles, He didn't only love special and selected people, He loves everyone that comes into the Kingdom because, He so loved the church, He gave Himself for the whole church, and He says all the people that He loves, He has made us more than conquerors, and He put a weapon in our hands, that weapon will do wonders IN Jesus Name Amen. The weapon He has given us is to pull down the stronghold, and any village we go to, we are going to pull down strongholds. There's no fear in our hearts, no timidity in our hearts that we can not preach the gospel, and everywhere the soles of our foot shall tread upon, the Lord will give us that place IN Jesus Name Amen. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; the time has come, you will do it IN Jesus Name Amen. The weapon of our Warfare's that makes us more than conquerors on the field as we go and preach the gospel, as we go and emphasize what the Lord Himself has emphasized, we have overcome not because we are pastors, but because of the word of God, and because of the promises of God, and because of what Jesus has done, and because of the Holy Ghost that abides within us, you have the Name of JESUS, you have the promise of God, you have the Blood of Jesus, you have the Holy Spirit abiding in your life, because of that Holy Ghost, because of that blood of the Lamb, because of that Name of JESUS above every other names, because of that, you will overcome.
The word of God that you have heard, the word of Power of the word of God that you have, and the promises and the word of His prophetic utterance that you have heard, that word abides in you, and He says, because of that, you're strong and you have overcome. As you go to many places, and you're preaching the word, you will overcome IN Jesus Name Amen. Everything that we have got, all the knowledge that we have got, now that you know that you're there, and by the Grace of God there is going to be a kind of breakthrough and revival bringing many souls into the Kingdom. Will you start today?
POINT THREE: THE COMFORTER AND HIS PENETRATING WISODM.
JOHN 14:15-16,26; 15:26-27.
The wisdom Christ has given us, It's the wisdom of the Spirit of God, not the wisdom of men that cannot obey God, but the wisdom of the Spirit Himself. The Lord JESUS Christ said, but ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.The comforter has come already, and when the Holy Spirit comes upon your life, He gives you wisdom to preach the word, and to preach the love of God. If you Love God, keep His commandment by going into the world and preaching repentance and the message of Salvation to sinners suspend the things that He has not commanded, and then bring to the forefront what He has commanded, He will be with you forever, that means, every moment, He will be with you, everyday, everytime the Comforter is right there and He will teach you all things and he will bring everything to your remembrance. He will testify of Christ and he makes you be a witness, there will be no fear, there will be no timidity in your heart, Then, you're going to rise up in the bus, on the street, and anywhere you are, anywhere there there's a living soul, even if you meet someone that is born again, don't assume, preach to him, tell him to share the testimony of his salvation to you and you too share yours, and salvation will take place everywhere we go in this nation, there will be preaching, there will be salvation, there will be repentance everywhere and Jesus Christ will be following you with signs and wonders IN Jesus Name Amen.
