MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: OUR RE-CREATION AND DOMINION IN CHRIST.
GENESIS 1:26-28; PSALMS 8:4-9; EPHESIANS 4:24; 2:12,1-3; 2 CORINTHIANS 6:7; 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19.
Today, we have studied from I Samuel chapter 8 and from Psalms chapter 9 in our search the Scriptures session, and in this sermon, we are looking at the word of God in the Book of Psalms chapter 8. And as we are taking some verses out of Psalms chapter 8, and from there we are launching into what the Lord has for us today. But now, let's look at Genesis chapter 1, here we see the creation of the man in the likeness of His own image, and God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. You will notice a particular word from this verse, after God created Adam and Eve, He blessed them to be fruitful and you will be fruitful in every way, spiritually, you'll be fruitful, materially, you will be fruitful, in the work of your hand, you will succeed, and you will be fruitful IN Jesus Name Amen. You're not suppose to be a trodden down man or woman, you're suppose to stand and you're suppose to have a backbone, and you're suppose to have Authority, you're suppose to have dominion, and you're suppose to have Power.
Adam and Eve were created to have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over everything, I'm sure you know the story. And eventually, man fell from Grace to grass, he fell from the high tower were the Lord has placed him, and he fell into sin, and he lost that dominion. The point I want to make here, and the reference we are figuring out here is, the Psalmist was asking question from God, and the question is, "What is man", What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: that question that says what is man it has the answers in a various way, if you are asking, "What is a man",you have to describe the man you're talking about, you have to define the man you're talking about because you see there was man at creation, there is an old and and there's a new man, and so you are asking the question, "what is man"? There's a man at creation, and there's a new man in Christ, the word of God says, and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. When God created man, and man came out straightway from the hand of the Almighty God, that man was created in the image of God, he was created in the likeness of God, he was created in righteousness and in true Holiness, so when you see what is man, we will see at creation, he was a creature of God, like God in righteousness, and like God in Holiness and in Godliness, but then after man fell, you're asking the same question, "what is man", you have to define and describe the man you're asking of, at creation, he was Holy he was righteous creature of God,
✔️ what is a Man in the creation? He was a creature of God, he was a Holy and righteous creature of God. Genesis 1:26
✔️ what is a man without Christ? He's a transgressor and he's a sinner Ephesians 2:1-3. He's a person who does not have any control of himself, he does not have power by himself, he's dominated and he's ruled over by the devil. Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Before we knew Christ, we are like the rest of the world, we didn't have any power, we didn't have any dominion, and He says we are walking in the flesh, and also we all had our conversation in times past in the
lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. After man fell, the nature of sin then came, the nature of Satan now came, the nature of transgressions now came, and He says, we were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
✔️ what is man at conversion? 2 Corinthians 6:7. At conversion, we become children of God, we becomes sons and daughters of God, at conversion, a change takes place, we are no more like JESUS told those Pharisees that their father is the devil and the works of their father they will do, but now you know we come to the Lord, and as we come to the Lord, we becomes the children of God. When the Lord has forgiven us, and we are regenerated, and we are redeemed, we are ransomed, and we are purchased by the Blood of the Lamb, and He makes us to become a member of the family of God.
å He separates us.
å He takes us away from the things of the world and then He says He'll be a Father unto us. What is man after conversion? We see man at conversion, as God Himself said, I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and my daughters. .
✔️ what is man after Conversion? 1 Corinthian 6:19-20. The Lord is saying, when you come to Him after that conversion, there's a change that has taken place now, for we are bought with a price, therefore we should glorify God in our body, and in our spirit, which are God's. Because now we belong to God, when we ask a question, what is man? You have to be definite, and you have to be clear as what kind of man you're asking about.
å Man at creation, that is different.
å Man without Christ, that is different.
å Man at at conversion, that is different
å Man after conversion, that is different.
✔️ Now we come to, man in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17. Man in Christ is born again and Christ has entered into him, if you abides in Christ, and His word abides in you, you will become totally different, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature,
å he's not a man now
without Christ.
å he's not a man without Grace.
å he's not a man without any foundation. But this is the man that is now in Christ, all the old deformity, all the old deficiencies and all the old habit, everything is passed away, and now what is man with Christ? He's a New creature.
✔️ Man with Christ. Ephesians 2:6. What is man with Christ? "He's a New creature". We were crucified with Christ, we died with Him, and we are buried with Him, and we were raised up together with Him, and He says, He hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. When you compare Eden with the heavenly places, heavenly places is higher than Eden, and when you compare the first Adam, and you compare him with the last Adam (Jesus Christ), the last Adam is higher, and Jesus is the last Adam, He's greater and mightier than the first Adam. And He says, He hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
✔️ what is man when he becomes like Christ, when the Grace of God so transforms him, and he becomes nearer and nearer unto Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:18. When He makes us to be like Him, we are not looking at the degradation and the disgrace and the defilement of the first Adam, and we are not looking at the description of Adam after he has fallen, we are now looking at the Lord Jesus Christ and we become like Him.
*What then happens to us after we have changed and transformed? We are like Him because we are crucified with Christ: nevertheless we live; yet not we, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us, and gave himself for us.
* In the sacrifice of Jesus Christ He was our substitute, He took our place and He brought us near unto Himself, and we are crucified with Him, the old nature is not the one that is motivating and compelling us and controlling us, but Christ lives in us, and we give Him the chance to express and demonstrate Himself to live in us the way He wants to live, because He makes us like Himself.
What is the consequence of that? 1 John 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. We will have boldness in the day of Judgement because we are cleared and we are equated, and because He He has sets us free, He gives us the assurance, and we are going to meet God on the final day by Faith, and by grace we know what is going to happen, by the Grace of God demonstrated for us on the Cross of Calvary, we know what is going to happen, and the love, the desire, and the affection we have for God will compel us to enter boldly without fears.
✔️ what is man when he beholds the faces of Christ? He's changed and transformed to become like Him, and we are sitteth together with Christ in heavenly places.
He takes up anyone that come to Him, a sinner, a transgressor, and an ungodly person that comes to Him, He recreates him and He refreshes him and He remodels him, and then He put His dominant power in his life, He's going to recreate you, you will be reformed, He will reforms you, what He revives you and when He translates you from that position of weaknesses and He brings you to the Power and Dominion, and He's going to recreate you.
POINT ONE: THE DEFEAT OF TRAMPLED SOULS WOTHOUT CHRIST.
EPHESIANS 2:12 ROMANS 5:6.
You will remember at that time we were without Christ, and we were without God, and we were without Hope in this world, and being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world. And we don't remain like that, even though we were without Christ, and we were without Hope and we were without faith, we were yet without strength, we were yet without ability, and without victory and without triumph and Without Authority in due time Christ died for the ungodly, and because Christ died for us, now a change happened.
I. The Original Dominion of the Created man.
Genesis 1:26-27; Hebrews 2:6-8; Genesis 2:15-17. That's actually talking about Adam ,how to live, now Adam had the dominion and he had power and he had the ability God gave to him, and God placed him in the garden of Eden to dress it, you understand that, God never gives you an assignment that He doesn't give you the ability, and the sufficient power to carry it out. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. You see man still have the work to do, man have to dress that garden and to keep it from the intruders that the serpent the Satan shouldn't have entered that garden, God gave him the supervisory role that he will keep that garden of Eden.
II. The Offensive Disobedience of the Corrupted man. Genesis 3:6; Job 31:33; Romans 5:12. Satan came in the form of the serpent, and he received Eve, and then Eve accepted all that deceptions of the serpent, and she did it. The husband was to keep the garden and not to allow any intruders, any deceivers, and any serpent, and any Satan to come in, you see maybe Adam didn't know that the serpent represented Lucifer, but you understand, he had perfect knowledge at that time, he gave names to all the animals, and when Eve came, he said, this is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, he had knowledge and yet with all that knowledge, with all that wisdom, and with all that insight, he couldn't resisted the remotes. and he was with Eve at the time when the temptation came, he ate the forbidden fruit and then curse came because when God said, Adam where art thou? Instead of confessing, he gave excuses, he covered his transgressions by hiding his iniquity in his bosom, and God discovered and all the excuses did not allowed God to forgive him, and to have mercy on him at that time. And so they were driven out of the Garden of Eden, and we have that nature of sin, we were born with the nature of sin because Adam and Eve have sinned, all the children that came through them, they had that nature of sin, by nature of Adam, man became a sinner, by practices, man became a sinner, and by habit and
.in destiny, he will be treated like a sinner, except redemption, recreation, forgiveness and salvation takes place before he can be free from the curse of sin.
III. The Observable Depravity of the common man. Genesis 5:3; 6:5; Job 14:4; 25:4; Psalms 51:5; 58:3. Isaiah 64:6; Mark 7:21-23; Romans 7:15-20.
That's talking about the religious man who does not know Christ. Christ says, all have sinned and you can observe that as you look at man in general, depravity came upon every common man, after men fell, he lost the likeness of God, and the image of God, he now had the sinful likeness, he had the sinful image, and sinful personality because man has been fallen, defiled and became depraved, every imagination of the thoughts of his heart became evil. Adam became unclean, Eve became unclean and they came together, you know the first child was not born when they were in the state of innocent, and when they were holy and righteous, having the image of God and having the likeness of God after their fallen, after they have been drifting out of the Garden of Eden, that's when the first child was born, and all the children that were born since that time, were born outside the garden of Eden, that's why Job says, Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. Man ordinarily, man that has not known the saving Grace of God, anyone that is born of a woman is unclean. He might pretend outwardly as if he have self righteousness, but everything is dirty and everything was of iniquity, that's why the Psalmist says, Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. When a baby is born, he's born in sin, he's conceived in sin, and here the Psalmist was talking about the depravity of man, nobody teaches a child to tells a lie, nobody teaches a child or instructs a child to tells a lie, it's in the nature of that child lies it's the depravity is that child, this is universal, iniquities are everywhere, there are things that comes out of a man, the attitude, the action and the habit of a man comes from
within, and it's observable, Jesus Christ says, for from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Psychologist says, it's the environment that makes a child to behave a particular way, they say if that child is coming out of a home where a father is a drunkard, they says they child also will become a drunkard, the word of JESUS said, For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. All these comes from within, and not from without, not from environment, because of the depravity of men, this is a man that doesn't have Christ yet dwelling in him, he doesn't have grace dwelling in him, and he doesn't have the work to redemption abides with him, this is a man that have sin dwelling in him, this is a man that has not tasted Calvary, if you're of a such man, a change is going to come, and when that comes to Christ, and he knows Christ, and the power of redemption was in the life of that individual, whether a boy or a girl, where religious or whatever, when you come to Christ, there will be transformation, if it has not happened to you, it will happen in your life, if you have not experienced it yet, you will experience it even today, and if you have got it already, you are saved, you're born again, and you're a real child of God, as you behold Christ afresh today, new life and new strength and new power and new dominion will come unto you.
POINT TWO: THE DECLARATION OF OUR TRANSFORMED STATE IN CHRIST.
ROMANS 12:1-2; 8:14-17.
Christ transforms us, and when He transforms us, what happens? He wants us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.
And we shouldn't be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that We may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Don't say because Adam fell, that's why you're filthy, make a change because Christ has come after Adam fell, He came and He shewed us the perfect nature of what men could be, when man is redeemed, and he can taken the weariness away, and he can deformity away, he can take the deficiencies away from, he can even take the depravity away from you, and now you can come transformed by the hand of the Lord, and when that happens, you're recreated, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. A recreation will take place, you're recreated in righteousness, and true Holiness, as we look at this point Two, we are looking at three things.
I. Our True Sonship in Christ. John 1:12; Romans 8:14-17; Phillipians 2:14-16. As many that will abstain from sin and transgression, and turn to Christ, then He gives them power and the privilege to become the sons of God, you were not like that before, but now, because you're born again, you hate sin and you denounce sin, and you defeats sin, and you come to the Saviour, He will make you to become His child. When we become sons of God like that, what is the initial thing that happen? You become a child of God, you're born again and the spirit of God takes over your life, you're not being ruled, you're not being controlled, you're not being directed and led by the old self, old life, society and you turn away from Satan, from sin, and then He'll become your Father, and Jesus Christ will become your Father, and the Holy Ghost will become your comforter. And he will lead you into the way of righteousness. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. We are different from fallen, filthy, feeble Adam because we have come to Christ, we are living in the strength, in the power and in the Grace of Christ, and now we are sons and daughters of God, we are now shinning forth with the word of God and the light of Christ.
II. Our True transform state in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17; 3:18; Ephesians 5:25-27. When you come to Christ, transformation takes place, there's a change and there's a newness of life from within, He recreates you, He transforms you, and things are totally different and it doesn't matter your age, it doesn't matter your background, when you come to Christ in the real sense, there's a transforms state because you now come to Christ and you're holding onto Him as your Saviour, and He makes that transformation happens in your life, and old things will become new, but we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD. If you abide and continue with Christ, you're looking at Christ and you're not looking at what you see in the world, you're not looking at the people you hear of history, and you're focusing and you're just, you're redeemed, and as you behold Christ, you will see His light and that reflects on you and impact your life, He says we are change from the same glort to glory, when we come to Christ, He saves us, He forgives us, He takes away sin, He cleanses us, the pollution of sin and the power of that sin in your life, He takes away. And now He sanctifies us, and He cleanses us by the washing of His blood and by the word of God.
III. Our Treasure Similitude / Similarity to Christ. Romans 8:29; 1 Corinthians 15:49; Colosians 2:6-7,9-10. We treasure this, we behold it, we believe it, we hold this and we will not let it go, like a treasure you will give up other things so that this treasure will be yours.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. That's the desire and the intention, and the plan and the purpose of God and that's why Calvary took place, that's why redemption has been made possible to make us conform to the image of the Son of God, and that's the reason why we have all that the Lord has revealed unto us. We are rooted and built up in Him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. You're now complete in Christ, dominion has come, strength has come, Authority has come and you can walk in that Authority and in the place that the Lord has raised you up for and you can go and walk differently from the world, and the light of Christ, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the gospel of His Revelation will shine forth in your life. You will be different you can be different, and you must be different.
POINT THREE: THE DOMINION OF TRIUMPHANT SAINTS THROUGH CHRIST.
Now we have dominion through definite Faith in Christ, there's a point in your life that may be you're standing up, may be you're kneeling down, whatever the pasture, you say in a definite way, you will manifest definite faith, and you'll desire a definite manifestation as you demonstrate Faith and when you do that, something regeneration will happen, after the salvation comes, and after the redemption has comes and then you come back and you put your definite Faith in Christ, then sanctification will takes place, the uprooting of the Adamic nature will take place, internal cleansing and total cleansing within will take place and He will give you the very nature of God Himself, and then after that has happened, you can still come back and be baptized in the Holy Ghost, just as He has promised that, we shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us: and we shall be witnesses unto Him both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. When you put your definite Faith in Christ, you're going to have triumph and dominion.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over sin and all transgressions. Romans 6:14,18,22. When you have the dominion, sin will not have power and imposing authority over you ,because He makes you free, and He makes you to become His servant, not servant to sin, not servant to Satan, not servant to the terrible one that compel you to do evil, not servant to sin partner, not servant to society, but you'll become His servant.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over Self and all Tempers. Proverbs 16:32; 1 Corinthians 9:25-27. You'll have dominion over bad temper, and over angry temper, there are people, they don't think they can have the mastery, they are not striving for mastery, and the power of the world will blow them and they are destroy and defeated everytime, but when the victory comes, you will keep your tongue and your temper under subjection, you'll keep your feelings under the Spirit of God, the Lord has come to give us deliverance, and dominion, and total redemption, and because of that, you want that to be practical in your life, demonstrating in your life, you will strive for the mastery and you will put everything under subjection.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over sickness and all tribulations. 1 Peter 2:24; 2 Corinthians 1:10. The moment you come to Christ and you hold on the power He has given you, you will have dominion. He bears our sins in His own Body, before sins comes, there was no sickness, it was sin that brought sickness, suffering and it was sin that brought death, and now He had borne our sins, if He has taken your sin away, He takes the sickness away too, every sicknesses you have before you're born again, He delivers us and every hereditary things you have before you came to Christ, He delivers you from them all, and every sickness that attached to you because you Are descendant of Adam, He delivered us, He delivered in the past, He delivered in the present, and He will get us delivered in the future.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over evil spirits power and all terror. Luke 10:19; 1 John 5:18.
Look at what God has given you, look at what Christ has given you, and look at what He had established in your life rather than looking at your burden, and rather than looking at the things moving around, look at what Jesus Christ has done, and bring all your burden under your feet, no matter who that enemies is, they will not destroy you, no matter who that occultism is, they will not have authority over your life, the power of darkness will not have Authority over your life, because now He gives you dominion, power, and authority over all the powers of enemies, and nothing shall by any means hinders you, nothing shall by any means have you, nothing shall by any means hurt you, nothing shall by any means cut short your life, you will life your life to the full, you will live your life to the end of your life, you will live strong and you will continue to be strong until you see the Lord face to face. If you are of God, the evil spirits will not have dominion over you, and they that are of God, they have dominion over sin, over self, over all the weaknesses of man, over all spirit, and over himself, they will have victory over all the oppression, all those evil spirits will not bring oppression upon you.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over Seducers and Traitors. 2 Timothy 3:13; Luke 11:25-26. The seducers wants to demonstrate their wickedness, and their power, all those seducers, they want to entice you to evil, and they want to compel you to submit unto them, but they will not catch you because the Lord is going to give you dominion and authority over them, the person who have been redeemed, if He's careless and he leave his heart empty, that evil spirit will try to come back again to see if it is empty, when we come to Christ, we need to keep that heart for Christ, we need to close our hearts against all the evil spirit and their powers, and we need to make sure that the blood of Jesus covers us everytime, the power of the Lord resides in our hearts everytime, and the glory of the Lord has given us and the dominion remains and abides and then we are strong and able to stand in that dominion, and that things that use to overcome you will no more overcome you, because you have the Power and the dominion to conquer them.
✔️ you will have Dominion, and Triumph over Scourge of Tongues. Job 5:21-24; Psalms 31:20. There are people that uses their tongues to slander you, they say something about you so you can be depressed, and so you can come down, and so you can loose your victory, but you will not loose your victory IN Jesus Name Amen.
As people will slander you, and defame you, and blaspheme you, and they say something about you that could have discourage and depressed you, God will give you the triumph and the victory, and the dominion over the scourge of the tongues, you will laugh because you have the victory and dominion, fears will go out of your life completely, you will keep your dominion and your triumph, you will keep your victory everytime all the days of your life. God will give you victory over the scourge, and strife of the tongue, the Lord will keep you and their tongues and their utterances will not bring you down, you will not be depressed, your life will not be destroyed, you will keep the victorious life, you will triumph and have dominion everytime.
✔️ You have dominion, you have triumph, you have victory over Satan, and over all his temptations. 1 Peter 5:8-9; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 John 2:13-14; 4:4; Romans 8:37.
Christ says, we should be sober, be vigilant; because our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Even though you're armed as a soldier, and you're armed with gun, with All admonition, to defeat any terrorist, and then someone is coming against you and against what you're watching over, if you're not sober, if you're not vigilant, if you're drunk and you're careless and frivolous, if you're gambling, and if you're just taking it at ease, although you have everything in your hand, but because you're not sober, because you're drunk, you will not be able to fight and wage war effectively over that terrorism person coming, but you must be sober and vigilant, with all admonition you have, with everything you have, the armour of God in your life you must be sober and vigilant to resist the devil, you don't resist the devil carelessly and slumberingly, you don't resist the devil if you're barely to even stand up, you have to wake up and resist the devil, you cannot resist him with unbelief, you have to believe what you have, and you have to believe the triumph and the dominion and the redemption work that Christ has provided for you, you have to believe in the word of God, others have gone through the same thing and they overcame, Jesus Christ overcame, you will overcome, and the confidence of faith will abides in you, you're a child of God because you're strong, you're growing in the Lord because you're strong, you're beholding His face and you're moving on and you're been transformed from glory to glory because you're strong, you're putting on the whole armour of God and you're strong and the word of God abides in you, you will be an overcomer everyday, every moment, and all through your life In Jesus Name Amen. You're born again, you're saved, you're of God, you're redeemed, you're cleansed, you're brought into the Kingdom of God, you have left your sin, you have left the past, and you're holding onto God, and that greater One will manifest His dominion and His power over your life, you are an overcomer, I am an overcomer, in all temptations, in all these conflict, we are more than conquerors and the Grace of God that overcome the Lord will put in our lives, when you see something That might terrifies you, don't dodge, don't turn your face away to another side, behold the Lord and in the glass, see Him that brings us glory and power, when you behold Him, you are going to change from Glory to glory, from power to power, from dominion to dominion, and you will change from deliverance to deliverance, and from triumph to triumph,, He says we are changed into the same image from glory to glory, the spirit of the Lord is right there with you, and as you're hearing the word of God, He's very close by, He wants to make of you a new man, He wants to make of you a new creature bold and authoritative, and having dominion and triumphant, He wants to make of you a different one that is confidence and whatever the enemies, whatever the challenge, starting from sin to self, to sickness, He gives you the victory and transformation and upliftment life, He has come, the Lord is going to do great things in your heart, in your life, in your spirit, in your soul, He's going to transform you to be another man, even from now, you will have dominion of the triumphant save through Christ.
