TOPIC: THE BLESSEDNESS OF THE RIGHTEOUS HERE AND HEREAFTER.
PSMALS 1:1-6.7
Today we are looking at Psalm chapter one, it's very familiar passage of the scriptures, and it talks about the blessedness of the Righteous who is totally free from sin, the Blessed man the Psalmist is taking about is a man whose sins has been forgiven and purged, he's devoted and completely occupied with the things of God, he's a man that is obeying the commandments of God promptly, and the Psalmist says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. And he tells us in verse 4 of the other man on the opposite side, he says the ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. The ungodly, the sinners, the backsliders, the scoffers, the scornful and the unrighteous ones are not entitled to the blessings of God because they walks contrary to God, a man is not free from sin cannot be part of the blessings of God because he has not given his life, his heart, his will, his mind, and his totality unto God, he's still walking in the way of sin. But the Righteous man is a man that walks in the obedience way of the Lord.
✔️actually, Psalms chapter one is the opening of all the 150 Psalms we have in the Bible. And this introductory Psalms is like number one in preface of all the Psalms.
✔️ this Chapter one of Psalms, is like a total Panorama of all the other Psalms, that is, it tells us the details about the Righteous, and it talks about the the unrighteous ones,
✔️ it talks about the Godly
✔️ it talks about the ungodly
✔️ it takes about the people that are upright, and the people that are not upright,
✔️ it talks about the believers, those who trust in the Lord and those who are not put their trust in the Lord. All the Psalms tells us of the actions of those righteous people and of the believers that are trusting in the Lord of what their possibilities are, and of what their promises are, and of what the Glory of God is upon their lives.
* on the other hands, he talks about the people who attracts the wrath of God, he talks about the punishment of those who are not on the side of the Lord, and it talks about their ways of life, they are unrighteous, they are ungodly, they are sinners, they are scornful, they are scoffers, and he talks about the perdition that will also come upon them. And do as you come to Psalms chapter one, it's like a summary and preview of what you're going to have in all the psalms. Here in this world, the righteous is blessed and hereafter, after death, after the rapture that we have gone to be with the Lord, the righteous will also remain in the blessings of God.
POINT ONE: THE PICTURE OF THE BLESSED MAN.
PSALMS 1:1-2.
Under this Point, we are looking at the Picture, and the portrait of the blessed man the Psalmist talks about, this blessed man is saved, and no matter what happens, no matter where he lives in any part of the world, this man is going to be blessed, we are to fit into the picture and the portrait of such a man that is blessed. Actually, the Psalmist shows us the picture in verse One, that he is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Actually in original, he says blessed is that man who identify sin, who is not walking in the counsels of the ungodly.
And as you look at verse one, Psalmist describes his negatively, what he does not do, where he does not walking, where he does not stand, and where he does not sit, that is to say, he does not walk in every way, he does not walk in every path that is before him, he looks at the ways of the scornful and he identify it the way of the ungodly, and he does not walk in their counsels, then he does not stand in the place of sinners, he makes up his mind never to stand in the way of sinners, he does not sit in the seat of the scornful, he does not sit in the seat of the drunkards, he does not sit in the seat of the people who are almost mentally derail and they are not following after the way of the Lord, he never sit in the seat of sinners and he does not stand in the way of the scornful that blaspheme God.
** In verse 2, he describes him positively, he said his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. That is, his delight, his Joy, his will, his passion and his enjoyment and his excitement is in the law of the Lord.
*** in verse 3, he describes him as a refreshed tree, fruitful tree and always looks beautiful. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. He's planted there, he's stationary there and he bring forth fruit in his season.
Now, as we look at this picture and the portrait of the blessed man, there are three things we should look at:
I. His Description. Psalms 32:1-2; 119:1-3; Luke 11:28; Revelation 22:14.
Heaven says, such a man is going to be blessed, whatever is happening on earth, and whatever is not happening on earth, this man is going to be blessed because he's righteous.
Here are the Description of this blessed man.
✔️ He does not walk in the counsels of the ungodly. There are ungodly people and they talk alot, they talk to much, they talk in various way, they want to offer you an advice, but a man that is blessed will evaluate, and this man that is blessed by the Lord will identify the ungodly that do not walk in the way of the Lord, and because he's described as a child of God, he will not even have to examine the admonitions coming from the ungodly, because he's a child of God.
✔️ he does not stand in the way of sinners, he will not stand at where the sinners are discussion, because he's born again and he will not stand with the people who are not Born again, and who are not refresh in the word of God, whatever his stature and the position, and whatever that ungodly man claim to be, whatever his experience in life, he will never stand in the way of sinners.
✔️ he will not sit in the seat of the scornful, some people are outwardly, openly, dramatically scorn, they scorn the word of God, they scorn the way of Heaven, they scorn the narrow path that leads to eternity, they scorn even the King of kings and Lord of lords, as a child of God, you will not sit with them, because when we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we turn away from sin, we turn away from transgressions and we turn away from every evil things we have done.
And in that confession that comes out of conviction, we confess and we turn totally and we repent, our sins are forgiven, when we believe the Lord Jesus Christ our Redeemer, we believe on the Lord Jesus our substitute, and we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ our sins bearer, then our transgressions, all of them together, bundle together, they are totally forgiven, that's why he says the man we are taking about who is a blessed man is the one whose transgressions is forgiven, whose sins is covered and he believes, and he rest in the Blood of Jesus Christ to purge him after he's saved, he is also set free in his heart, there's no unrighteousness, he's already blessed, his sins are forgiven and cleansed, and the word of God is taking effect in his life, and he's not defiled, he walks steadfastly in the word of God, he walks in the revelation of what God has revealed, he's not coming to God with superficial attitudes, he's not coming to God with halfheartedness, but he comes to God wholeheartedly, with his whole mind, with his whole heart, and with his whole soul, and with his whole love,he's devoted to seeking after the Lord, he's born again and he didn't continues in sin because he walks in the way of God. That is the Kind of man the Psalmist is talking about, and that's a kind of man and woman we ought to be. It's not enough to hear the word of God, if we are going to be blessed, our blessings demands that we hear the word of God, we meditate on the word of God, we do the word of God, we decides on the word of God and we keep the word of God. The people who are going to be blessed eternally are those who are doing the commandments of God, we must actively, proactively and positively obey the word of God, and heaven is not going to be sure for those who are not Born again, and if we are going to enter in and if we are going to get to the Kingdom of God, here is what the Lord demands, that we are doing the commandment of God, we have the Grace of God, we have the Love, desire and the mercy of God cleanses us by the Blood of Jesus Christ, and we have the strength that He has given us by the Holy Ghost. That gives us the description of the Blessed man.
II. His Delight. Psalms 1:2; 40:8; 112:1,6.
What he delight in, his JOY, his excitement, his passion and what rarely interested him is doing and keeping the commandments of God.
å He delights in the word of God.
å he delights in the way of God, he delights in the way God has mapped out and he's walking in it. Job says, Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. If you're going to find the fulfillment of the word of God, it's by walking in His way, because there's no other way like the way of God.
å He delight in the Will of God, and the will of God is revealed in the word of God, there's no will as pure, as good as the will of God, and because of that, he delights in the will of God.
å he delights in the wisdom of God, the wisdom of God is revealed unto us, there's no body as wise as the Almighty God, not even Solomon, and not any Philosopher, and no anybody on earth is as wise as God, that's why this man delights in the wisdom of God.
He's after the will of God, he pursued the will of God and it's in that will of God he delights, our lives must fit into the life of this man that is blessed by God, blessed by Christ, and blessed by the promises of God, and blessed by the Holy Ghost. When you pray, when you read the word of God, you're blessed. A man that wants to be blessed at all times must delight greatly in the word of God, not just superficially delight in the way of the, the blessedness of such a man is that, as he's growing older, he will be stronger in the will of God,in the way of the Lord and in obedience to the commandment of God, he will not be moved because he's blessed. His heart is fixed, he's believing, he's trusting and obeying the word of God, he delight in the word of God, Job says, Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. and when Job says I delight in the word of God he's saying no scripture, no breakfast, obviously such a man as this will be blessed.
III. His deeds. Psalms 1:2-3; James 1:22-25; 1 John 3:22-24. If we are going to be blessed, we must do something, and we must keep on doing that thing, so that the blessings of God will flow into our lives inexhaustibly. The psalmist says, such a man like this shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The Psalmist looks at the grace of God as a flowing River, he looks at the Love of God as a flowing River, he looks at the power of God as a flowing River, and he looks at the strength of God as a flowing River, and he says that man is planted by the Grace of God, he's planted by the love of God, he's planted in the mercy of God, he's planted in the strength of God, he's planted in the might of God because he's so planted in the river of water, that's why he brings forth fruit in his season, and whatsoever he does shall prosper. That's why the word of God encourages us every time that we must be doers of the word of God, because that's how we are going to be blessed.
✔️the blessed man hears the word of God and he continues.
✔️the blessed man meditates on the word of God and he continues.
✔️the blessed man plans his life on obedience to the word of God and he continues. And actually, that's how God answers our prayers, if we are doers of the word of God, and when we know that we are based on the word of God, and confirmed on the word of God, and we are totally established in the word of God, and because we are keeping the commandments of God, we shall be blessed. The word of God tells us that, whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in the sight of God. And when we pray, our prayers are answered. Answering to prayer is the blessing of God. And when God gives solution to our problems, it's also the blessings of God. We must be the doers of the word of God, we must be steadfast and act like this blessed man. It's when we keep the word of God and we are faithfully serving the Lord that we shall be bountiful and tremendously blessed.
POINT TWO: THE PROSPERITY OF THE BIBLE BELIEVING MAN.
PSLAMS 1:3.
A Man that wants to have the prosperity of God is a man that takes the word of God seriously, he will take the utterances and the commandments of God seriously, he will read the words of God, he will meditate on them, he will work on them, he observes them, he does them and because he's a Bible believing man, all his decisions and everything he does, everywhere he go, every moment of day and every moment of time, he depends on the word of God.
✔️ the Bible believing man is a blessed man.
✔️ the Bible believing man is a Born again man.
✔️ the Bible believing man is the one that basis his life and his behaviors on the word of God, he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. He has sustained foundation, he is not uprooted, he makes an effort and faithfully doing all he ought to do so that fruits will be coming out every time, he's steadfast about bringing it forth, he's steady about it, he's steady about bringing it forth, he's committed to that, he has a steadfast faithfulness, his leaf also will be ever green, he will not feel the drought, he will not feel famine, and he will not feel the effect of the changing climate because he's fruitful.
I. His sustained Foundation. Psalms 1:3; 92:12-15; Jeremiah 17:7-8; 1 Corinthians 3:11. A born again Christian, a devoted man shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. He's not just a tree that just came up by itself, he's planted, and planted in the house of God, that's the house of prayer, house of power, house of mercy and house of Love, that's the house where God operates and moves. He's station there, and He's walking there, righteous are planted by the rivers of water and because they always planted there, that's how they bring forth fruit. Even in old age, if there's anytime you should read your Bible, it's a time you're getting older, if there's a time you should be in the church, is the time you're getting older, if there's a time you need to remain planted by the rivers of water, it's as you're getting older, because then you're nearer heaven than fifty years ago.
Jeremiah the prophet also spoke about the blessed man that trusted in the Lord, Jeremiah said, he's never hopeless, and the prosperity that is given to us is: " THE LORD IS OUR HOPE". and because of that, this blessed man is refreshed everytime, and whatever changes are all abroad, does not get to him, he never cease yielding fruit, he keeps on yielding fruit because he's planted on the foundation, and he's sustain foundation. If he says he's planted by the rivers of water,
✔️it's the river of the peace of God, and Jesus is our Peace.
✔️it's the river of the Love of God, and God is the manifesto of that Love.
✔️it's the river of the mercy of God, and Jesus is the manifestation of that mercy.
✔️it's the river of forgiveness and of the goodness of God, and Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything, and he says, if we are going to have that sustained foundation, we must be planted in Christ, we must abides in Christ, we must remain in Christ, we must be secure in Christ, that's the foundation Jesus Christ our Saviour, our Lord, our Sanctifier, our Redeemer is enough for us, and without Him, we can do nothing, because He's on that foundation, that's why He's faithfully yielding fruit everytime.
II. His Steadfast Faithfulness. Psalms 1:3; mark 4:14-15,20; John 15:2. Roman 7:4. A blessed man is the man that bringeth forth fruit, and that fruit is not just coming by itself, it's not just automatically, but he's doing something and bringing forth fruit. He's acting it out, he's obeying the Lord, he's doing what he ought to do, and as a result of that, he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. That faithfulness is what you need, that you will be steadfast about it, the fruit of good deeds the Lord has called us into is yielding fruit every season. We need to clear our heart, and take away all the lambs that is full of pebbles from the land of our heart, and we must cultivate that land and rake everything off, so that the word of God will fall into the fatter ground. It's sown in our hearts, and day and night you meditate on it, and because you mediate on the word of God, it will bring forth fruit because your heart is good ground, your mind is good ground and your intelligent is good ground. When the words of God is planted, when the seed of the gospel is planted , you receive it joyfully and bring forth fruit, and in different areas of our lives we are bearing fruit.
In John 12, Jesus Christ also talks about beating fruit, and He said, the Father is the Husbandman, He's the One evaluating, He's the One that is looking at the vineyard, and He says every one that profess to believe in the Lord must bear fruit, but those who are not bearing Good fruit He will cast away. He wants us to bring forth fruit, and to bring forth more fruit everytime. We must abide in Christ, and the person that will abide in Christ and bring forth fruit will not be like a rolling stone, he's not a wanderer, but he's stable, he's dependable, he abides and he remains on that foundation there. We are members of the body of Christ, we are chosen to bear forth fruit, and when we come in connection with the Lord totally, there's no choice, we are going to bear fruit, we are married to JESUS, we are married unto Christ our Saviour, and the reason why we are married to Him is that we should bring forth fruit.
III. His Satisfactory Fruitfulness. Psalms 1:3; Matthew 3:8.
The Psalmist said, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
What Kind of fruit we must Bring forth?
✔️ It's the fruit of Repentance. Matthew 3:8. If you profess to repented, let's see the fruit of repentance, if you profess to turn away permanently from sin, then bring forth the fruits that is according to your repentance, let's see the fruit that goes along with repentance. You were in darkness before, and you are now a New creature in Christ, your life is totally new and righteous in the presence of the Lord, and what you do in the secret, what you do in the open, everything is according to the word of God and everything goes along with your repentance.
✔️ It's the fruit of righteousness. Romans 6:22. We are made free from sin, and we become servants of God and we are no more servants of Satan, and we are no more serving Satan, we are no more serving sins, self, society, power of darkness and the enemies of righteousness. When he talks about the satisfactory fruitfulness, he says we are bringing forth the fruit of Righteousness.
✔️ fruit of the everlasting life.
✔️ fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23.
✔️ we are bearing fruit of steadfastness,
✔️ And openly there's Joy in our hearts. We don't wear grooming appearance because we are bearing fruit of Joy.
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of love,
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of joy, We don't wear grooming appearance as if condemnation has not gone, or as if we are not free from sin and the yoke of the Past, we must be Joyful because we are planted by the rivers of water, and in doing that, all the promises of God will be ours. The precepts and the word of God and power, they are ours.
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of peace, as an ambassador of Christ, we are bearing the fruit of Peace
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of longsuffering, at home no divorce, in the community, no conflicts. And we are not easily discouraged
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of gentleness, there's no harshness, there's no oppressing, but we are gentle to everyone.
✔️ we are bearing the fruit of sincerity without offense. Philippians 1:10-11. Our fruit is not going the wrong way in the mind of people, because our fruit is sincerity without offenses.
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of goodness,
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of faith,
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of Meekness,
✔️ We are bearing the fruit of excitement. we are not easily tired,
✔️ we are bearing the fruit of Pleasing the Lord. Colosians 1:10. Remember Noah, he pleased the Lord in Obedience, he built the ark according to the spoken word of God. Remember Enoch, he walked with God consistently in obedience, remember Abraham, God called him His friend because he please the Lord.
✔️ we are bearing the fruit of Meekness,
✔️ we are bearing the fruit of temperance: against such there is no law. We have the same Grace those Patriarch had during their time,
✔️ we are bearing the fruit of Commitment. We have the Grace of God, those patriarchs held to the Lord, they pleased God, and we are also commanded to please God if we are going to bear fruit. And as you increase in the Knowledge of God, the fruit you're bearing is increasing, that's why the Lord is saying, as we learn more and more, as we pray more and more, and as we connected more and more with Christ, and as we abides more and more in the Lord, we are increasing in Knowledge, we are increasing in Grace, we are increasing in the love of God, we are increasing in consecration and delight in doing the Will of God.
POINT THREE: THE PORTION OF BRUTISH MAN.
PSALMS 1:4-6.
The unrighteous and the ungodly are like brutish people, because they don't put God in their thoughts, they don't put God in their actions, they act like they don't understand why they are here, and they act like they don't understand who brought them into this world, they act like they don't understand who brought them into something glorious and something wonderful because they are brutish men, they don't take God seriously, and they don't have anything to do with the word of God, they have their portion here on earth, that God Himself has ordained, and they have their portion also on the other side of eternity. the ungodly are not stable, they are not steady, they are not steadfast, they are not abiding in the word of God, and they will not remain in the word of God, and they are not like the tree planted by the rivers of water, and as the wind is blowing them here and there, and the Lord says, the ungodly, the sinners, the scoffers, the scornful, the Blasphemer, and the backsliders, the ungodly are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. And when the judgement comes, and the great white throne Judgment eventually comes, they will not be able to stand, he doesn't say they will not appear before judgment, he said they will not have leg to stand, they will not have mind to stand, and they will not have any reason to defend their evil deeds because their mouths will be shut, there will be no defend for them, and then in verse 6, Psalms 1:6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Here he's talking about the righteous and the ungodly, the roads of the ungodly are apart, and their destiny, are apart, the Lord knows the way of the righteous, the way of the righteous is a good way, it's a narrow way, it's the way of eternal life, it's a way of Christ, it's the way of Life, truth and way, but the way of the ungodly shall perish because they are not stable, they are not dependable, the way of the ungodly is like their lives are written on sand, is like their principles are written on the sand at the seashore, and because of that, their wisdom, their history, their destiny, their lifestyle, and everything they acquired will be forgotten and burned.
I the Ungodliness in the chaff. Psalms 1:4; Job 21:18; Isiah 5:24; Luke 3:17. The Lord says the ungodly are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. The way the Lord is using the chaff here, He says the chaff is too light to be stable, and the chaff is so light that the wind come and blow away, the wind come and drive the chaff away, and it separate that chaff from the wind. Eventually, and He is saying that is the ungodly. The ungodly are like the chaff, the storm of judgement will come, and it will carry the chaff away, the storm of the rebuke of the Lord will come, it will carry the chaff away, the whirlwind of the fire of Judgement of God will come, and when it comes, there will be no body that will be able to hold that ungodly steady, they will be like chaff and after the chaff has been driving away by the wind, by the whirlwind, here is what will follow, Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. And the Judgement of God is upon the ungodly because their mind is not in the Lord, their hearts is not in the Lord, their obedience is not to the Lord, that's the reason why the wind will come and drive the chaff away into fire and they will be burnt. The eternal end of sinners who has not repented, who does not have any delight in the word of God, they will burn in unquenchable fires. That sinners, that unrepentant prodigal backsliders,, that scornful and scoffer that will not come back and remain in the center and planted again in the word of God, they will be like chaff and that chaff will be burn by fire unquenchable.
II. The Unworthiness of the Carnal. Psalms 1:5-6. Romans 8:6-8, 7:14-20,24. Those who are not like the righteous, those who are not willing to be in the congregation of the righteous, they are carnal. They are carnal in their thoughts, they are carnal in their actions, in their behaviors, even in the novels they read, they are carnal, they are carnal as they follow after pornography, they are carnal as they follow after the way of the flesh, and it makes them ungodly, carnality makes them sinners, scornful, scoffer and unrighteous, and when the Judgement arrives eventually, the sinners, the scornful, the scoffer, the ungodly, the unrepentant sinners, they will be burn in hell fire unquenchable. Although Christ has not come, and believers and the unbelievers are together, they attend the same local church because the church is an open place, and everybody comes and those who are willing to repent, they comes, those who are not even repenting, they all comes over as a religious duty, they comes and nobody is going to drive them, but on the final day of reckoning, He says at that time, the ungodly shall not stand with the godly people, the chaff, the ungodly, the unrepentant scoffers, scornful they are carnal. ✔️ the carnal man hates the word of God.
✔️ the carnal man hates the doctrine of Jesus.
✔️ the carnal man hates the Revelation of God.
✔️ the carnal man hates the Authority of God.
✔️ They don't allow God to control their lives, because they have carnal mind.
✔️ They are not submissive to the law of God,
✔️ they are not submissive to the revelation of God.
✔️ they are not in Christ..
✔️ they are not walking in the spirit.
✔️ they are not in the word of God.
✔️ they are not in Christ as new creatures
They are in the flesh, and because of that they cannot please God. The carnal one is one that is sold like a slave to sinning, and he cannot come out of it, he's binds as a slave, he's capture as a slave, he's serving as a slave, and he cannot retrieved himself, he cannot withdraw himself from sinning, and from slavery of sin, the life of sinner is a miserable life, although he hates what he does, but he's powerless to deliver himself because he's like chaff, he doesn't have any weight, he doesn't have any value, he doesn't have any Grace, he doesn't have any sustaining power of the Lord to do what is right because Christ does not dwells in him yet, the Holy Ghost does not dwells in him yet, and the word of God does not abides in him yet, because he's a sinner, he's an ungodly man, he's a scoffer man, he's not a blessed man, he has not been blessed with salvation, he has not been blessed with forgiveness and freedom that he ought to have. He does not know how to perform that which is good, he's a church man, he's a man always coming to Christ but he he does not have salvation, he's a church woman reading the Bible everytime, but she does not take time to pray and repent and have salvation, and she doesn't have the Grace of God and she doesn't have a new life in Christ. He or she knows the doctrine, he knows the right thing but he does not have power to save himself. He's powerless who doesn't want to do evil, but if you are like that and you come to Jesus Christ our Deliverer, He will save you and He will deliver you. In every generation, the Lord knows the way of the righteous, He knows what the righteous does, He knows the steps of the righteous, He knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly which is totally different shall perish.
III. The Gulf fixed between the Righteous and the Unrighteous. Palms 1:6, Luke 16:26, Revelation 22:11-15.
The ungodly are not stable, when they are in Rome, they behaves like them, when they are with sinners, they behaves like them, and the Lord is saying, the way of the ungodly shall perish, but the way of the Godly is the way of the Bible, is the way of the Gospel, is the way of godliness, is the way of the righteousness, the godly man is the man that Christ has transformed, he knows how he takes, he knows how he does in private and in the public, the way of the righteous is a narrow way, but the way of the ungodly which is totally different shall perish, because they are not stable, when they are with sinners, they looks exactly like sinners, and when they are with unbelievers, they looks exactly like them, and because they are unstable, they will perish and their ways will also perish. The way of the righteous is far from the way of the unrighteous, they never comes together, they are far apart and they will never cross because there's a Great gulf fixed between the righteous and the unrighteous, and once they lives this world, and there's no chance to repent anymore, the righteous on the right hand side and the unrighteous on the left hand side will never meet again because there's a division and they are far away, and that gulf is unutterable. We remember the story of a Rich man and Lazarus, after they departed from the earth, the rich man was tormented in hell fire, and there was a separation between him and Lazarus. And the Lord is saying that, on the final day the righteous will be separated from those who are ungodly, the sanctified people of God, the obedient people of God will be separated from those unsaved, unsanctified, unholy and unrighteous people And they will be forever separated. On the final day there's going to be a day of Judgement, if a man dies unjust, he will remain unjust forever, if a man dies filthy, sinful, defiles, and unforgiving, he will remains in that condition forever, but if a man dies saved, sanctified, holy, Righteous, he will remain saved, holy, righteous forever. The Lord is saying, I Come Quickly and as you can see the signs in the sky, He's coming and His coming will not be delayed, if someone is a blessed man, he will be rewarded, and if someone is ungodly, unrighteous, sinner and scornful, he will be rewarded just like that. The sanctified, the one that is abiding and delighting in the word of God, and he's meditating on the word of God all the times, and while the righteous enter into the Kingdom of God, the city of God, and they are forever and ever in Heaven, the ungodly shall have their portion in the lake of fire forever and ever. The people who are saved, sanctified, walking according to the word of God will have a portion in heaven. You have a choice to make, if you're already a child of God, keep on meditating on the word of God, be planted by the rivers of water, remain blessed man that you're bearing fruit all the time, let the fruit you're bearing be fruitful, because the ungodly are going to suffer forever and ever, remain Holy, remain saved, remain blessed, be stable, be steadfast, and continue in the Lord every time, keep on abiding in the Lord all the times and bear much fruit..
