MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: A NIGHT TO BE REMEMBERED.
EXODUS 12:1-7,12-13; JOHN 1:29.
It's wonderful to be together in fellowship, and everytime, there's time of forgetting the things of the past and concentrating on the Lord, and consecrating the whole time to be with the Lord, so that everything He need to do in your spiritual life, in your soul, in your heart, in your body, and in your Christian life in general and in your Christian ministry He has committed into our hands, we will give Him the chance to do that
The Lord was going to start a new thing with the children of Israel as a whole nation, He was going to do a new thing in every life among the children of Israel, in every individual, in every men, in every women, and in every child, and in a whole nation as a whole. And this is recorded for you and for me that the Lord is about to do something new, something special, something unforgettable and something that has not been done before, and I pray that everyone of us, we will do open our hearts, our lives and allow God to do this new thing, and so God said, it'll be the beginning of life for them, it'll be the beginning of years for them, it'll be the beginning of a new area of consistency for them, He was going to give them the instructions they were to follow, and He's going to give them the steps they will take, and the things they will do that will bring this new experience into their, and into the nation. As we look at what the Lord is telling them, He was telling them that, this night to be remembered was going to be:
✔️ A night of Redemption. They have been in captivity for so many years and the captivity of many years was going to stop that very night, and your captivity of many years will stop tonight IN Jesus Name Amen.
✔️ it was going to be a night of release. The Lord was going to release them out of the house of bondage. This Night will be our night of release, anything binding us, anything holding us down anything physical, anything spiritual, anything emotional, anything economic holding us down, tonight will be our night of release.
✔️for the Children of Israel, they were living in the midst of the Egyptians, and even though the Israelites were going to have a night of Redemption and a night of release from the children of Egyptians, and for the children of Egyptians, it was going to be a night of retribution.
✔️to the children of Egyptians, it was going to be a night of recompense, when all the evil they have done will be visited upon them, the enemies of the people of God will have this night of retribution.
✔️for the children of Israel, it was going to be a night of Revelation. They will experience it as they have never experienced before, and for us tonight, you're going to have a night of revelation.
You see these children of Israel, they have been in captivity for such a long time, and because of that captivity and the rigour, and they were sick, they were weak, many of them were like invalids but at that very time, God brought them out and there was no feeble among them.
✔️ they discovered it was a night of Recovery.
✔️ it was a night of a renewal.
✔️ it was a night of revival. That's why the Lord told them that this is what He will do, because everything now depended on the lamb ,it was a night that was general, it becomes very specific and very definite, have Faith, have personal trust, and have personal confidence in the Lamb that God has given us, God commanded the children of Israel to kill a lamb that will be for them a token, and the blood will be applied, the Lord revealed Himself to these children of Israel, and to the fulfilment of that covenant, that night has now arrived, and that's why He said it will be this night that He will pass through the land, that's what began the deliverance of the children of Israel, and that's what began the redemption and the release of the children of Israel out of the land of captivity where they have been for many years, and this was been written for us, so that we can learn our lessons from this because we too we have a Lamb and we too we have our Lamb that has bow become personal, that we trust that Lamb, and we believe and what what He has done for us.
In Exodus, it was lamb for the nation.
In John, it was the Lamb for the world, Jesus is referring to as the Lamb of God, and what happened in the Old Testament is what Jesus Christ will do for us together IN Jesus Name Amen.
POINT ONE: THE NEED FOR REDEMPTION.
EXODUS 3:7-9; DEUTERONOMY 15:15; JEREMIAH 31:11.
The children of Israel had a need, and the need was obvious because they were in the captivity and for us, the need ought to be obvious by the time we go through the scriptures, we will see the need for our redemption.
God was talking to Moses, He was going to send Moses to the children of Israel in Egypt, so that he will be use of God as an instrument that will bring redemption unto them. And in what He told Moses, we see the need of their redemption and in this too, we see the need for our own redemption, as we look at those verses, there are many things we find out very clearly, the reason for their deliverance time is very clearly, the need for their redemption and the need for their deliverance and because of their affliction so painful and so terrible and so oppressing, that's why they cried unto the Lord, that shows the need for the deliverance, the need for the redemption, it also talks about their task masters, as you look at your life, anything that oppressess you, anything that cause sorrow, anything that drives you back from your goal, anything that makes you not to realize what the Lord has called you for, or what the Lord wants to accomplish in your life, your spiritual life, do you see any limitation do you see any hindrances, do you see any oppression and any sorrow? Is there anything that makes you unhappy, as you look at your health, are you seeing something like an oppression? Are you seeing anything like task masters over labouring you, oppressing you, tormenting your life, and that causes sorrow, that's why He made the necessity of redemption for them. Egyptians holding them down, maybe the Lucifer might be holding somebody down over there, the adversary, the enemy of progress holding somebody down over there, that you feel like unfulfilled, you feel like a failure, you feel like you're defeated and you feel like life has served you with something that oppresses you, and you're saying who shall deliver you out of this bondage? The Lord came to delivered the children of Israel and He's going to bring them to a land that is good, a land of plenty, a land of Joy, a land that is flowing with milk and honey, a land that is fruitful, that shows the need of the necessity why they needed redemption, and as you look at your life, you're looking at anything missing there, any victory missing there, joy and fullness of life missing there, the fulfilment of the promise of God missing there, eternal life missing there, spiritual life missing there, the salvation of the Lord, the victory that comes with Salvation of the Lord missing there, tonight, you will experience the redemption you will experience the release and the revelation and restoration of every Spiritual thing you have lost IN Jesus Name Amen. Recovery from that sickness a recovery from that weakness, a recovery from that infirmity in your life, total redemption, Spiritual, natural and physical and emotional redemption in every area is coming your way tonight. The children of Israel were slaves to the Egyptians, and God said, that's the reason He's redeeming them, are you enslave to a bad habit? Are you enslave to a besetting sin? Are you enslave to an evil spirit, are you enslave to Satan himself? Are you enslave to something that is more powerful than you are? Are you enslave to something you want to get out of you, you cannot get out? Good news from Calvary is coming to you, that slavery He is sending out tonight. The Lord sent redeemer to them and show them the way of redemption because they couldn't believed themselves, they couldn't redeemed themselves, their enemies were stronger than them, and because enemies were stronger than them, that's why they couldn't believed themselves and God Himself through the shedding of the blood of the Lamb He has come to deliver them and redeemed them from the hands of the enemies that was stronger than them.
You might have find out that the things you battle against, they are stronger than you are, your sin stronger than you could deliver yourself from, your evil habit is stronger than you could deliver yourself from, it might be sin that comes over and over and over, and you sense it that if you continue life like that, even though you come to the church, eternal hell, eternal damnation and eternal suffering will be the end. And you're struggling and you cannot deliver yourself, good news for you tonight, the Lord will deliver you from that thing that is stronger than who you are. The power of sin will be broken in your life IN Jesus Name Amen. Sometimes, the thing that is stronger than you are may not be a sin, it might be a kind of sickness that you always fall into that sickness, and you've tried so many remedies and you have tried everything you could try, and yet that sickness is still there, and it now terrifies you and makes you afraid, is like it might take your life, good news for you tonight, you will not die, that sickness that is stronger than you stronger than all the remedy thing you have tried, God will redeem you from that thing that is stronger than you are IN Jesus Name Amen. Sometimes, is a spirit and this evil spirit, this evil power, this evil personality tries to squeeze life out of you, tonight is a night to remember, that spirit will be conquered and cast out of your life even tonight IN Jesus Name Amen.
POINT TWO: THE NATURE OF OUR REDEMPTION.
EXODUS 12:12-14,33,41,42; PSLAMS 130:8; TITUS 2:14.
The nature of the redemption of the children of Israel is very clear from the story that we read about them, and the nature of our own redemption is also very clear, manifest as we read from the scriptures and you ought to examine yourself and examine your situation, and examine your spiritual life, examine your moral life, you examine your physical natural life, and examine your professional life, examine your family life and everything about you, and find out is there any area where you definitely need total redemption. For the children of Israel, what did that redemption look like, and what did that redemption mean unto them? This is what it means for the children of Israel:
✔️Judgement, universal Judgement was coming upon everyone, the redemption mean that, the judgement that came universally on everybody will pass them over, our redemption mean that, as the judgement of God is universal, worldwide, touching everybody, coming upon everybody, the people who repent will turn away from their sin, and they will believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and they will apply the Blood of the Lamb upon their hearts by Faith, then the Judgement that is universal all over the earth will pass them by, that's why if you have not been truly Born again, if you have not been truly saved, if you have not escaped the judgement of God, if the judgement of God is still hanging on your head, even tonight, if the Spirit of God is convicting you tonight, look at the Lamb of God and as you look to the Lamb who was killed and slayed for you, and you believe in the blood of that was shed for us, judgement will pass you over.
✔️Physical death was going to come upon all the first born of the children of Egyptians that means those first born in the land of Egypt, they were going to die prematurely, a reckoning day, a final day had come for them, they have sinned, they are rebelled, they are disobedience, they are resistance to the will of God, and to the call of God which was epitomized in Pharaoh, it was going to be visited on the first born in the land, they were going to die prematurely, the nature of the redemption for the children of Israel is that, that premature death on those Egyptians, the children of Israel will escape, and tonight, premature death will pass over you, your enemies will leave you alone in the hurry, if it appears that Pharaoh was stubborn, and all your problems are stubborn, your sickness was stubborn, all that stubborn spirit will get out of your life tonight IN Jesus Name, Amen.
The Nature of redemption He gave to the children of Israel which now is applicable unto us, which now is translated and transmitted unto us, there are people who tells us they are born again, but they have not been redeemed from all their iniquities, there are transgressions, evil habit in their lives, they knew it, God knows it, Satan knows it, their neighbour know it, and their conscience knows it as well, but the redemption that the Lord has promised and the redemption that He wants to give is redemption from all sins, redemption from all iniquities, and redemption from all transgressions, and tonight, the Lord will redeem you from all your iniquity. That's what JESUS Christ died for, He took the children of Israel out of Egypt, all of them out of everything in Egypt, and He wants to take you from all your sins, the time is near, the Lord will do it for all of us IN Jesus Name Amen.
POINT THREE: THE NEAREST OF THE FINAL REDEMPTION.
LUKE 21:28; MATTHEW 24:36-38; LUKE 17:28-30,32; 1 JOHN 3:1-3; REVELATION 16:15; 22:7,12-21.
Now, The Lord is talking about the signs of His coming, and we see the signs in all the world right now that the Lord had given. And the Lord says as you see these signs beginning to happen, when it come to pass, then look up and lift up your head for your redemption draws near. He's talking of the day of His coming, the day of the final redemption when He will take us out of this world and He will take us to the great beyond to meet the Lord in the air, there are people who are given to false prophecies and they are predicting the date of His coming, many people have set date like that and they have failed because He said of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. It happened before at the time of Noah, Noah warned them that judgment was coming universal upon the whole world, he warned them to prepare for that redemption, but they wouldn't listened. and that's what JESUS Christ said, He said as it was in the days of Noah, even so shall it be at the time of His coming, that the time of full redemption, the day of that final redemption when everything will be over, when the history of man will come to an end, and when the history of man will come to an end, and when the history of ever individual on earth will come to an end, that day is coming and He says we should get ready, prepare for that day, there are many people who will not prepare, they will take that information with a loose hand, like the days of Noah, their lives was for eating and drinking, all their activities, all their pursuits was for eating and drinking, and the Lord said, it will be the same at the time of His coming, the only thing some people think about is marriage, just like the days of Noah was, they were getting married until the flood came and wiped them away. that's why JESUS says, get ready, prepare because of the Nearest of the final day, there are some people, they are looking back to the world they came from, there are some people, they are turning back to the world they came from, some people are going back to their old boy friend and old girl friend, and old lifestyle, and old company, some people are just gradually, gradually sliding back.
That final day of redemption is very near, there are people who are labouring for world to know them, all their aspirations, all their ambition, all their pursuits, and all their desire, everything they try to do is that the world will know them, but the nearer you get to God, the nearer you prepare more for the final redemption, and the less the people of the world will recognize you, and if a final day of redemption is what your dreaming of and desiring of, and passionately wanting to make haste to, the world will not be the pursuit of our lives, the less that this world will know you. The Lord is coming, it should be the pursuit of your life, of your heart, and of your soul, prepare for the day coming of the Lord, the day of redemption is very near, the people who are not ready for that final day of redemption which is fast drawing near, those who are unclean like dogs, those who are violent like dogs, those who fights and bark like dogs to destroy other people's life, those who operate in the familiar spirits, they are not ready for that day, the murders including those who commit abortion, they are not ready for that day, if you're going to partake in the full and final redemption, that means you will repent of your sin and you will come to the Lord, believe Him and surrender your life unto Christ wholeheartedly.
and sorcerers are not ready, and whoremongers are not ready, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie are not ready for the coming day of the Lord, if you're going to be ready, which means you must allow the Blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for you to wash you whiter than Snow, the Lord is saying, you can have redemption today, you can have forgiveness today, you can have salvation today, you can have reconciliation with God today, you can have the righteousness from the throne of God that prepare us for the coming of the Lord today.
