MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: THE RIGHTEOUS MAN'S STEPS TO GREATNESS AND GLORY
TEXTS: PSALMS 33, 34,35,36, 37:23, 31, 73:2, 119:133-135
NOTE: As we look at all those chapters and all the verses, we understand that, the Lord can speak to us in all the chapters, He order the steps of the Righteous ones to greatness and Glory. The Lord is bringing something important to us today, that if we are going to get to the Greatness and Glory in life, we must allow God to orders our Steps. If you're going to get to any place in life, you need the steps, you need the path and you need the road that leads you there, and only God know the place you'll get to and how you'll get to the final destination which is Heaven. The church counts you as a member of the great congregation, but the Lord want to single you out and take you to the destination He has for you in all eternity. He's a God of redemption, He's A God of renewal, and when you're born again, and given your life to Christ you become a child of God the law of God and the revelation of God abides in your heart, As you move on from one level to other, your step will not be slip or slack, you single yourself our and He's going to put revelation in your heart, and He order your steps and He will not allow your feet to be slide. God guides and leads, and controls the steps of the good men. You give your life to Jesus and He guides your steps with His counsel.
#POINT ONE: ORDERING THE STEPS OF A GODLY MAN INTO GOODNESS.
I. The first steps into salvation.
PSLAMS 137:23. 14:3, Jeremiah 4:22, Roman's 3:12-26, 10:8-10.
There must be a way to cross over and become a good man before God can take your life as an individual and order your steps. If you do not wait for the guidance of God, you will go astray. You have to single yourself out of the generality of humanity before God can lead you. If you'll turn over your life into the light of Christ, you bring Him to the driver seat of your life to be your director and you make that personal choice of your life, that you single yourself our as He Himself want to single you out. It has to be your own decision that you'll handover your life to the Lord it's a personal decision that you'll single yourself out, that's the first steps and then you'll become a change man. It's that experience of Salvation that turns you on and turns you around and you're in the place God can guide you.
II. Our following steps after the Saviour.
1 Peter 2:21-23, John 13:15, Philippians 2:3-5, 1 John 2:3-6, Ephesians 5:1-4.
And because you know the patter of the life of Christ, step by step you are following Him, He will leads you aright. Jesus Christ suffered for us, He sacrificed Himself for us, there's no area of your life that you cannot ask Him what model He has for you. If the Lord is going to guide you, He has given you as example to follow. That your life, your Behaviour, your conduct and the life you're living will give you a better testimony, by the example we see in your life will show that courageously and compassionately, you're living for Christ, and you're representative of Christ. Your conversation, your character, your disposition will turn your spouse to the Lord and the steps of a good man is ordered by God.
III. Our FAITH steps according to the Scriptures.
ROMAN'S 4:12,16, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Galatians 2:20, Hebrews 10:37-39, 11:8, 14-16. Roman's 14:23.
If you're always walking by sight, and you're afraid to move forward and you're afraid to get rid of your situation, the Lord cannot lead you at the point when you have the disposition of fear. The Lord leads us at that point when you have the disposition of Faith. He leads at that point when you have Faith in God, that God cannot lead you into error and into evil. If we are going to be led by the Lord, we must have absolute trust in God that God cannot lead us into evil, you're absolutely and confidently, depending, on the Lord When you don't even know the future. Our Faith will make us to prevail and obey the word of God. Follow the steps He has outlined for you, you follow the ways of the Lord by faith. He leads us steps by steps, if you have Faith, and you keep on following His steps, He will bless you. He wants you to give your life and your time into the service of the Lord. When He call you, obey Him. The Lord is bringing you among the people that believes in Holiness and in following the steps of God, and you will not allow people around to discourage you.
#POINT TWO: ORDAINING THE STEPS OF A GUIDED MAN TO GREATNESS.
As the Lord is guiding you day by day, you will not accuse God of foolishness. you will not question Him, Like Joseph didn't accursed God of foolishness, if a person is being guided by Holiness, and he's under the watching of God, He will not compromise. A guided person like Joseph will not question God. Joseph wasn't offended when he got to the prison, and he wasn't questioning God for anything. Be your best, and when you're in the place you do not understand, and when they persecute you, don't charge God foolishly. If you're going to be led by the Lord, we must put trust in the Lord that God cannot lead us into error. We must trust God and absolutely, confidently depending on God. That's what Abraham did, we don't have to argue and question God, if you're not following the Lord, there are a lot of things that you cannot see. Follow the steps of God at a time, come to Christ and live by Faith, walk with God, and when you do so, God will answer all your questions, but if you don't have Faith, God will not answer all your questions.
if you're going to get to where you're going, you must keep following the Lord, and don't try to retaliate your enemies, when they throw something against you, don't throw anything back against them. And that place God has outlined for you, you'll get there. Your persecutors will pray for you. When Saul was chastening David to kill him, David didn't retaliate, and when he threw javelin against David, he didn't avenge, the very reason why Saul was chastening David about it's so that David will not become a king.
II. The stops of A Godly man.
1 Samuel 25:10-11,23,32-34, Numbers 22:10-13,21-22.
When God is leading some people and He tells them to stop, they never know how to stop,sometimes as God is leading you, if you're in high speed you might not understand when He says stop! The steps of a guided man are ordered by the Lord, when you yield to anger, when you yield to pride, it'll stop you from making progress in the future. if you're not in God, you will not know when God will want you to stop. That's why you must be guided by God, because the steps of the godly men are guided by the Lord. The stops of a good man are guided by the Lord.
III. The strokes for a groomed man.
Psalms 119:67, Proverbs 3:11-12,17:10,20,30, Hebrews 12:6-10.
Some people cannot bear any corrections because they are not groomed for success. If the Lord is going to guide and lead you, there are times you might be strokes. He will gives the strokes that will guide you and correct you. If you're a real child of God, you will not run away from correction. If you're going to get to your destination, it's the correction that shows that God loves you. The Lord will groom you and propel you for goodness and for godliness and for Glory.
#POINT THREE: OBSERVING THE STEPS OF A GLOWING MAN TO GLORY.
PSALMS 73:23-26, HEBREWS 2:10-11.
Some people cannot take the independence of their responsibility, any steps they are taking, they cannot walk in the focus and in the determination of what they want to do. You must be responsible to what the Lord is leading you to. To be a man of decision, a man of decision is a man of destiny, and you'll not miss your destiny. Continually hearing the word of God and wanting to do what He want you to do brings the fulfilment of God's divine purpose for your life.
I. The graceful steps of Obedience towards glory.
Psalms 119:133,60,63, Hebrews 5:8-9, 11:8, 1 Peter 1:14-16,22.
You must act according to the word of God, there are people around you that want to pull you off from where God has positioned you, but you will not be in the companion of the people that will tries to bury your Glory.
II. The Guarded Steps Through opposition to Glory.
Psalms 18:36,39,37:31,34,44:18-22, Romans 8:36-39.
God is going to promote you, but you have to take a step that nobody will bury your vision. Challenges, opposition and trials will come, but you will protect that and you will not allow anybody to bury your vision. Your feet will not slip, every battle in your life, you will win the victory.
III. The Guileless steps of overcomers until Glory.
Psalms 57:6-7, 85:11,13, 2 Corinthian 3:18,4:17-18.
Every pit that is dung before you to fall into, the diggers of the pit will fall into it themselves. You will not fall into it, your destiny will be fulfilled, you will get to the destination you're going to. Everything God has outlined before the foundation of the world, He will fulfil everything in your life. Tempters can come, temptresses can come, but you will make up your mind that, your heart is fixed, there maybe enemies, lions in the way that says they are stronger than God, God will prove them liars, the Lord will put a new song in your mouth, you will get to your final destination. you will do good things you wanted to do, a new song of victory and courage and happiness, and determination and achievements will be put in your mouth. Your life will sing and give praise unto the Lord.
