TOPIC: GOD'S LIGHT IN YOU
TEXT: 1 JOHN 1:1-7
Key Verse: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7).
Light comes from the sun, fire and electricity. Almost everything in the world reflects light. For example, when light from the sun reflects on water, glass or metal, it makes them to shine brightly.
God is the Light of the world. We are like mirrors reflecting God's nature when we reflect His special character of love, kindness, gentleness, goodness and humility. God loves us, so we must also love others. God is kind to us; thus, we must be kind to others as well.
God created us to reflect His character in the way a mirror reflects light. God wants to shine through us to the world. When we allow Him to do that, we bring Him glory. We show the world what God is like by behaving like Him. Shine forth the light of God to others.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your love. Help me to reflect Your love to the people around me.
