TOPIC: THE DANGER OF INDECISION
TEXT: LUKE 23:13-24
Key Verse: "And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required" (Luke 23:24).
Indecision is to be neither here or there on a matter that requires your firm and quick action. Indecision is the graveyard of good intentions.
Pontius Pilate allowed the pressure of other people to determine his decision. He was not able to stand on his decision to release Jesus and let Him go. He could have believed in Jesus that day. He made lesser things to be priority above standing for the truth and believing in Jesus.
The thought of losing his position and favour from men was a struggle within Pilate. He gave in to the pressure from men and lost the chance of eternal salvation.
History tells us that within seven years of sentencing Jesus to death, Pilate was removed from his office! He was left broken, destitute and unwanted; and so, he went out into the night and hung himself. His placement and position which he cherished so much at the expense of Christ was lost, and he also lost his soul as well.
Why will you allow indecision to ruin your life? Make up your mind to speak up for the right, and be firm in your decision to follow Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I give my life wholeheartedly to You today, give me the grace never to go back.
