MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: BUILDING AN INDESTRUCTIBLE ON GOD'S PRESERVED FOUNDATION.
PSALMS 11:3-5; JEREMIAH 12:10; ISAIAH 28:16; 2 TIMOTHY 2:19-22.
I welcome you to the worship service, and I thank God for those of us who are diligent, and those of us who are determined, and those of us who rarely desired to worship the Lord, that you do as if you were at the sanctuary because where you are is a sanctuary, and you're worshipping the Lord with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. You're worshipping the Lord in truth and in Spirit, once again, I appreciate that you're there and the Lord Himself will make His word enrich your life and the Grace of God will be in your life, and you will work actively on what you're hearing, and the word of God will make you to be better IN Jesus Name Amen.
Have you noticed we have done our Search the Scriptures, hope you were there at the time of Searching the Scriptures together, and we studied Psalms chapter 10, all through to chapter 13. Quite a lot we covered and what we are going to do today is to look at all those Psalms, chapter 10 all through to chapter 13, and see what the Lord is telling us today, but I'm going to start with Just verse 3 of Psalms chapter 11, here you see what the Psalmist is asking, he said, If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? You need to memorize that, and every turn of the way, at every cross road, you're remembering the word, "FOUNDATION". Foundation is very important.
✔️ foundation of your FAITH is very important.
✔️ foundation of your FAMILY is very important.
✔️ foundation of the Flock, that is the people who are worshipping the Lord, very important.
✔️ and the foundation of FAITHFULNESS as we are faithfully following the Lord, and serving the Lord, how important foundations are. And he said, If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? In your personal life there's no body who can destroy the foundation if you do not allow that. In your family, there's nobody who can destroy the foundation of your family, if you don't allow that. In the local church, among the people of God, there's no one that can destroy the foundation of that church of God if you don't allow that. It's pastor himself that can destroys the foundations, that's why you need to keep that foundation, many pastors have destroyed the foundation of the vineyard of God, they have trodden down the portion of God under foot, they are the pastors and the leaders who are suppose to maintain the foundations, but they have destroyed that foundations. You know in your family, as the head of the family, as husband and as father over your children, over your family, you're to maintain the foundation, but if you don't put the condition of your family in the heart, if you don't put the condition of your faith in your heart, if you don't have the condition of everything the Lord has given us, and the foundation, if you don't leave that to your heart, it will be destroyed. That's why we must keep that foundation intact.
✔️we build our lives on an indestructible foundation,
✔️ we build our own family on an indestructible foundation,
✔️ we build our Christian's life on an indestructible foundation,
✔️ we build our Christians profession on an indestructible foundation.
✔️we build our Christian's journey on an indestructible foundation.
✔️and we build our Christian's conviction on an indestructible foundation, and a preserved foundation.
POINT ONE: THE ENDURING PRESERVATION OF DIVINELY REVEALED FOUNDATIONS.
PSALMS 11:3-4; 82:5-7; LUKE 6:46-49.
There are foundations the Lord Himself and revealed, and it's divinely revealed foundations, and we need to preserve that, and we need to conserve that foundation, and we need to protect it and we do that enduringly..
Our young people need to understand that, we do don't just worship God and we don't just sing and dance, and we don't just have merriment in worshipping God,
Our young people should take note of these things below:
✔️ there must be foundation to our worship.
✔️ there must be foundation to our believe.
✔️ there must be foundation of Salvation.
✔️ there must be foundation in serving the Lord, so that by the Grace of God, we're get to heaven on the final day, and It's a pity today that some of our young people don't understand this, they are not comfortable with the Church of their parents, because they think that, the church their parent is going is inactive and dull, and they want to go to another place where the people are excited in sin, and where the people can dance and free. They want to go to the place where the young people can do whatever they wants, that's a kind of church they want to go. You need to consider whether that kind of church you want to go have foundation, you must know what is their foundation, you must know what is their doctrine, you must know what their teaching centers on, is it base on the Bible? Is it base on the word of God? Or is it just to entertain the young people? Those are the things you need to consider before jumping our of the church to another place. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? You know, must of these places you want to go, all they do is superficial and emotional, all they do is just to satisfy the flesh, the Lord is in heaven, and the foundation of His throne is not eroded, in fact, when Lucifer wanted to destroy that foundation, the Lord drove him out with all the fallen Angels, the Lord's throne is in heaven, and you know, Jesus taught us to pray that, the will of God be done. God doesn't want anyone that could have destroyed the foundation of His throne in heaven that's why He drove Lucifer out of heaven. That's exactly what He wants on earth, in the world. And so we can see in this contemporary world, things are not the same today as they were in thousands years ago, people are now waking on in darkness, all the Foundations of the earth are out of course. Look at the establishment in the world, and look at the companies in the world, and look at the various country in the world and look at what the people of the world are doing, how they govern, how they live and how they do things, you will see there are people that are evil, who should be protecting the nations, and the constitution of the various country. But they walk on in darkness, they are acting anyhow and people overlook and neglecting the foundation. And there's no principle anymore, the Lord is telling us, if we aim to serve the Lord, if we aim to remain with the Lord, we have enduring preservation of the divinely revealed foundations. Even though the foundation of the world are getting out of course, we will stand and we will remain to preserve the foundation of the Lord.
I. The comprehension/ understanding of God's indestructible foundations. 1 Coritnthians 3:10-12; Acts 4:11-12; Ephesians 2:12-15,20; Hebrews 6:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:12-13. When we talk about foundations, what are we talking about? When we refers to foundations, what are we talking about? We are talking about JESUS Christ, Jesus Christ is the very foundation of everything, talking about Salvation, He's the foundation, talking about sanctification, Holiness and commitment and righteousness, Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything, and as Apostles and children of God, we ought to build the lives of people on the foundation of the word of God, we must build the hope of people on the foundation of the prophecies of the word of God as a wise master builder. As a wise evangelist, as a wise pastor, as a wise teacher of the word of God, you can not evangelize without foundation, you cannot be a pastor without foundation, and you cannot be a teacher of the word of God without foundation. Paul the Apostle says, he has laid the foundation and another one who comes in another generation should not tamper with that foundation, but we must builds on it, we must keeps the foundation intact, it's the Foundation of Faith, and the foundation of that Faith once delivered unto the Saints. We must keeps everything intact, and we must builds thereon. And as you are building, don't touch the foundation, don't destroy the foundation, don't displace the foundation, and don't erode into that foundation. Keep the foundation as God has revealed it unto us,
✔️ JESUS is our Saviour, He's the foundation of our Salvation.
✔️ JESUS is our Sanctifier and He's foundation of our Sanctification.
✔️ JESUS is our Healer and Deliverer, He's the foundation of our healing and our deliverance.
There are people that go helter skelter, and they are looking for deliverance elsewhere, and the things they see, the things they hear in those places they were running to, actually they bring in a little occultism, and they bring in a little bit of idolatry, and they bring whatever they want, because their foundation is no more Christ, and they tell them a lot of things without telling them what Jesus Christ has done, they will never tell them that, Jesus Christ died for their sins, and Paul the Apostle through the ministration of the Spirit of God said, he has laid a foundation, and that foundation is JESUS CHRIST Himself, and no pastor, no GO, no GS, should lay any other foundations, for other foundations can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus. Whosoever is going to going to build on it, should understand that, there's no other foundations for our Salvation, there's no other foundations for our sanctification, and there's no other foundations for our security and for our stability, and there's no other foundations for our steadfastness, there's no other foundations in worshipping God. No man should lay any other foundations, whatever the name, whatever the title, whatever the popularity in the society, and whatever the religious clouds around him, no body should lay any foundation. And if anyone tries to lay any other foundations, the fire of Judgement will fall on him. And we need to understand that, the fire of judgment will test every ministry, every works and every builders on that final day. A person that has not come to Christ he has not build on the foundation, he has not taken the foundation of Faith, and foundation of Salvation, he has no Hope, because there's no other way, and there's no other road, there's no other sacrifice and there's no other man, there's no other woman, there's no other personality, and there's no other body, Christ is our only peace, anyone that is going to be one in Christ and one with the body of Christ, he will take that same road, he will take that same narrow way that leads to heaven, and he will take that same way of repentance, he will take that same way of abandoning the past and the same way of abandoning traditions, he will take the same way of abandoning everything of the past, as you come to Christ, all the old life, all the old religion, all the old ideology you will abandon that and you will leave that outside the gate and you will enter in, you will forsake sin, you will forsake idolatry you will forsake religion, religion does not save, you forsake and then as you come without all the baggage of darkness you had when you're in the world, you now come to Christ, He cleanses you, He forgives you, He sets you free, that is how you makes peace with God, it's not on the conference table, is not on the basis of compromising, you have to sacrifice something, you sacrifice your conviction, you sacrifice your doctrine, you sacrifice Christ, and you give up the light, the Bible, strong conviction, contention for Faith will not bring Peace, don't abandon faith, but you abandon your old life, only through Christ we can get to heaven, that's the foundation we need to comprehend and we need to understand. Everything you hear about Holiness, that between Repentance and resurrection, everything you hear about marriage, one man one wife, that's foundation, all the things we learn, that we will become stable Christians that we are not blowing here and there by every wind of doctrine, that is the Foundation and He wants us to comprehend and He wants us to abide there.
II. Conservation of God's incorruptible foundation. Matthew 24:35; 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:19-22; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Revelation 22:14-19. The foundation of God is as incorruptible as Himself, the foundation of Christ is as incorruptible as the foundation of Christ has laid, and put in place, the foundation of what Christ preached, the foundation of the word He preached in review, everything Christ did is an incorruptibl foundation, His word shall not pass away, He said except a man be born again, he can not enter into the Kingdom of God, that word cannot change, He said, follow Peace with all men and Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, that word can never change, He said, we should go into the world and preaching the gospel to sinners, that word can never change, His word shall not pass away, and He wants us to abide in all His word, not just to worship, is more than that, we must keep to the foundation, men may do whatever they want to do, and say whatever they want to say, but the foundation of God standeth sure. In a large congregation, there are vessels unto honour and unto dishonour, unfortunately, the percentage of those who are vessels unto dishonour, who destroy the foundation, they are more, they are greater than the percentage of those that are unto honour, make a choice for yourself that you will be a child unto honour, and that you will be a servant unto honour you will be a believer unto honour, and if that is going to take place, you must purge yourself, the choice is yours that you will be a believer unto honour, and servant unto honour.
Many young people want to run to an assembly where there's freedom to lust, where there's freedom to commit fornication and where there's freedom to sin, and where there's freedom to do evil, they don't understand that, that kind of gathering is not worshipping God, but they are worshipping their flesh, they are worshipping the idol of the land, but if you're rarely going to build on the foundation, and you want to get to heaven, and you know that heaven is your goal, and heaven is your focus, you must flee youthful lusts, not only youth, there are some adult who commit immorality, like David, David commits adultery when he was advanced to age, already he had children, but he had lust and the Lord is saying, everyone of us, young and old, boys and girls, everyone should flee youthful lusts.
III. Continuation in God's Irreplaceable foundation. Luke 6:46-49; John 8:11-12,30-32; Romans 11:22; 1 Timothy 4:15-16; 2 Timothy 3:13-14. There's no other foundations and nobody can replace this very foundation, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost given to us, it's an irreplaceable foundation. The Lord is asking us this question, why ye call me Lord Lord, and do not the things He says? He's going to ask us that same question at the end of life, He's going to ask us the same question when we see Him face to face, He wants us to build on the foundation, and abide in the foundation. That's how our ministry, and our service will be acceptable in His sight and be rewardable by Him. If you're going to be saved, sanctified and worship God aright, you must understand that, Christ is the foundation, if you're going to labour and minister, Christ is the foundation, He laid the foundation on a rock, and those who hear His word and do it, they are wise, but those who read the Bible and not obey is like a man without a foundation, learning how to tie scarf is not the foundation, we must start at the beginning of repentance, we must start at the beginning of salvation, the Spirit of God must bear witness in your heart that your sins are forgiven and the Lord has set you free by the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, not externally obeying the doctrine of the church, you must have that definite experience, indisputable experience, and unbeatable experience of being Born Again, if you're not Born again, and you're just building without the foundation of the New birth, of salvation, you will be surprised when it'll become too late, and you will put your finger in your mouth and regret, because you didn't build on foundation. But if you're building, you will build and remain on that foundation.
POINT TWO: OUR ENSURED PROTECTION FROM DAMNABLE, REGRETTABLE FORGETFULNESS.
PSALMS 10:4-6; 9:17; 50:20.
The Psalmist tells us that, when we forget God, when we forget His word, when we forget our consecration, when we forget our commitment, there's something that happens, that's why the Lord is saying, we need to endure, we need to affirm, we need to do determine that the damnable forgetfulness regrettable will not be in our lives.
A man that forget God doesn't think about God, whatever he's thinking, whatever he's planning, God is not in his thoughts, and God should be at the beginning, the Alpha, God should be at the end, the Omega, God should be the One that runs through everything he does, because JESUS Christ said, without Him, we can do nothing, and something that is not thinking about God will not consult God before taking any steps in life, he want to travel, he want to get married, but God is not in his thoughts, he wants to progress, but God is not in his thoughts, because he has the sin of forgetting God, as we forget God, as we don't think about God, and as we claim we are Christians and believers and children of God, what is the foundation if you say you're a child of God? What do you plan your life on, how do you run your decision, how do you move on in the ways of the Lord? If God is not in all your thoughts, it means you've forgotten God. We need to endure the protection we ought to have from damnable regrettable, forgetfulness.
✔️ People that forgets God don't think about heaven.
✔️ they don't think about righteousness.
✔️ they don't think about where will the citizens spend eternity.
All that government are concerns about, everything is about Economics, and they forget God, the Lord knows the people that forget Him, He knows the people that are not thinking about who God is, He knows those who don't know what God wants, and how the final day of judgement will be, He knows there's a lot of people that are living their lives without thinking about Him.
I. The Inexcusable Disposition of forgetting God. Psalms 10:4; 50:17-22; 106:21-24,26; Jeremiah 3:21-22; 22:12-14. Forgetfulness of God is not excusable, He created you, He's the One that has control over your breath, and when He takes that breath away, you're gone. When you sleep at night, you don't know where you are, He's the One that watches over you, and when it's time to wake up, you just wake up and then you're back to life again, He's the One that regulates your breathing, you breathe out and you breathe in to preserve your life, He's the One that does all that, you don't have any excuse for forgetting God, He's the One that gives you the brain and the strength, and the ability, He's the One that makes you whoever you are, we don't have any excuse for forgetting God, many people have forgotten God, they cast the commandments of God, and the desires of God and the word of God behind them, they are the one that run eras to adulterers to link up adulteresses, they are the one that brings the prostitute unto their masters and they are the one that will be running up and down for perpetrating evil for their boss because they don't want to lose their Job, and they forget God, you may not lose your Job, but you will lose your soul, you may not lose your Job, but you will lose the peace of God all through out eternity.
II. The Inescapable Damnation for forgetting God. Psalms 9:17; 44:20-21; 106:13-18; Matthew 23:33; Luke 12:16-31; 16:19,23,26; Revelation 20:11-15. If anybody forgets God, there's going to be a consequence on that final day, the people who concentrate all their lives, all their things, all their plan and their pursuit on success, when eventually you come to the Judgement seat, and you appear before the judgement throne, and you see the Creator of Heavens and earth, and when you were here on earth, you forgot His word, you forgot His worship and you forgot His adoration, and you forgot His assignment, and you forgot what He wanted you to do, you just live your life as if there were no God, you're like a practical practices ethics, in theory, you believe God, you acted, you lived, you decides, you spoke, and you did everything as if there were no God, now there's going to be a consequence of that, and at that time, there will be no argument, there will be no Power, you will be so paralyzed and you will be so confused, because of your wickedness, that is why you forgot God, and you will turn to hell. If you forget God after Salvation and you're running after herbalist, and after idolatry and after false prophets, because you're Jobless, and because there's problem, and you don't run to God our Creator, judgement day is coming, and it'll for everyone, that's why today you need to come back and remember God your Creator, remember God your Redeemer, remember God your Saviour, and be so intimately united with Him, that you do not allow anything to separate you again. This is the time of Salvation, you cannot forget God and go Scott free, there are people that serve pastors, they are not serving God, and when their pastors are around, they looks straight and quiet and they looks holy, but once their pastors are not there, they don't stand straight, they are hypocrites, they never understand that, their works are being recorded in the book of God, and they do whatever they wants, and they are not thinking about God, it's only when the pastor is there that they will shake off and behave good, such people will not go Scott free.
III. The inestimable Decision against Forgetting God. Psalms 119:16,61,83,109,141; 16:8,11; 20:7-8; Revelation 2:4-5. You remember God and you're not going to forget God, in times of promotion, in times of trials, in times of pain, in times of a cross road, you will remember the Name of the Lord, we must not forget about God, and we must not forget about salvation, many people don't remember God, and they go on pursuing the world, when negative thing happen, people will want you to forget God, you need to be careful because devil want to Robb your salvation.
The decision you ought to make is that:
✔️ you will remember God all the time.
✔️ you will remember how you were saved.
✔️ you will remember how committed you were.
✔️ you will remember how you were sanctified.
✔️ you will remember how consecrated you were unto the Lord. If you have left your first faith, your first love, your first commitment, your first consecration and your first concentration unto God, and you have forgotten God, the Lord is telling you to remember and come back today, so that you will serve God acceptably and from now on, any decisions of your life, any direction of your life, any plan of your life, any pursuit of your life, you will remember what does God said and what does God want. Total acceptable repentance will be the lot of everyone and now as we lives our lives, we will remember the Lord in our disposition, in our attitudes, in our habits and in our heart, and we will always remember the Lord and we will escape the damnation of the people that forgets the Lord.
POINT THREE: OUR END-TIME PURSUIT WITHOUT DISTRACTING, RUINOUS FLATTERIES.
PSALMS 12:2-4; 5:9; 36:1-3.
We are running in a race, and we are moving on in the way the Lord wants us to move on, and we need to keep on pursuing, you wants to get to heaven, you wants to make it on the final day and when the trumpet shall sound, you want to be among the people that will go with the Lord in the Rapture, and this is the end time, we cannot be careless now, we cannot be distracted now, and we cannot allow anything to ruin the foundation that the Lord has established in our lives, the scriptures says a lot about flatteries, and he says at this end time while we are pursuing the goal and we are reaching out and we are aiming forth in what the Lord Himself has put in our hands, we must not allow the distracting ruinous flatteries to hinder us from being stable and from being solid and being observant and being watchful in what the Lord has given us.
The people who ruins other people's life, they flatter them, they are so nice and good, but they are all flatteries, they flatter us, they want to get something out of us, they want us to drop and leave something, they want us to turn back on the truth, they want to entice us, they want to deceive us and they want to take the precious things we have from our hands. That's why they flatter with their sugar coated tongues, there's no truthfulness in their mouth, there's no faithfulness in their mouth, they want to get something out of you, they want to take the precious things you have, they want you to drop your Ticket to heaven, that's why they flatter you beware of the flatterers, when a young man tells a young lady that, she's the most beautiful lady on earth, and he flatter with his sugar coated tongue, he want to take the precious things away from that young lady, that's why he flatters you. They flatter other people and they even flatter themselves. The one who flatter is not wise, he knows what he's doing, he's a deceiver, he's not wise to speak the truth.
I. The Danger of Ensnaring Flatteries. Psalms 12:2-3; 78:36-37; Proverbs 29:5-6; 26:28;7:21-27. The children of Israel flattered God, and they lied unto God, if human being can lied and flatter God, how about you human being? Anybody who flatters you, his heart is not right with you, he has something in the heart, and he's aiming at that thing in all that flatteries, it's just to get you down. During this time of pandemic and lock down, maybe somebody calls you and he begins to send a text message to you, and he says, he couldn't sleep without you, he says, he love you as a lady, you must be careful and watch, he's making you to yield to sin, and to surrender your life to fornication, and then to go down the drain and to perish, and eventually, they force you into evil covenant and into evil agreement because they flatter you,even though you don't want to do that, they force you to do it, that's why you must be careful. And I pray, God will deliver you IN Jesus Name Amen. You will not lose your life to the slanderers and to the flatterers IN Jesus Name Amen. Remember all the people that were strong before they were weak, it's because they don't have any backbone, they don't have conscience anymore because they yielded to the flattering lips of a man, of a woman. The hotel or the motel he leads you to is a way to hell, there's danger in faltteries.
II. The Deception of Enticing Flatterers. Psalms 5:9; 36:2-4; 10:9-11; Daniel 11:21,32,34; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12. Flatterers want to catch the one who is poor in knowledge, who is poor in vigilance, who is poor in Spirituality, who is poor in steadfastness, who is poor in conviction and poor in consecration. There are religious flatterers, they will flatter you, they humble themselves and they are just to flatter you until you get into their nets. Actually, all the flatterers are the forerunners of the Antichrist. Especially religious flatterers, the people who will flatters after they have flattered you, you cannot speak against them, you cannot bring out their false doctrine, you cannot bring out their dangerous damnable pernicious way anymore, that's why they flatter. The Antichrist will obtain the Kingdom by flatteries, and flatterers today, denominational flatterers, religious flatterers, and all those popular flatterers, they are Antichrist's forerunners, and they are running before the Antichrist, and they are taking the nature of the Antichrist, beware, don't let anybody flatters you into false doctrine, they will never catch you IN Jesus Name Amen. the Lord is warning us that, flattering is dangerous and is deceptive.
III. Our Discretion Above Endangering Flattery, above all the ensnaring flatteries. Isaiah 28:26; Proverbs 2:11-13,16-17; Isaiah 28:26; Proverbs 27:23; Hebrews 12:15,28; 2 Peter 3:11-14. We are going to have discretion above endangering flatteries. Discretion means, you think about your life, and you think about what You ought to be, and what you ought to do, and you have discretion above all the endangering flatteries. You ought to be sensitive and you ought to be reasonable, and you ought to be watchful against all those flatteries as you keep to that foundation, and you keep away from flatteries, and you keep away from all the dangers and the deception of those flatterers that the Lord Himself will keep you. When all the people that forget God are living their lives according to the pattern of the world without remembering God, you will be discrete, you will be diligent, you will be watchful on, the flatterers have to flatter you and get you into the pit of degradation, and the word of God makes you discrete, the word of God makes you vigilant, diligent, devoted, consecrated, uncompromisingly, and it's that word that will deliver you from the strange women, even the Lord wants us to be diligent, so that the flatterers will not get us, so that they will not catch up let not any root of bitterness, of sinfulness, of evil, of backsliding, of fallen away from the faith, let not the root of all these spring up and trouble you, those who are standing firm on the foundation and those who are standing firm on this indescribable, and irreplaceable and redemptive righteous revealed salvation, we are going to receive the Kingdom which cannot be moved. We need Grace, grace for Salvation, grace for Sanctification, Grace for the power of God Grace for the Peace of God to abide in us, and the Grace for the purifying of heart, and the Grace for the power of God, and for service of God to serve God acceptably without fear, the Lord is coming, and because of the challenge of the Lord's coming, we need to abide in the truth, we need to abide in the way, and abide in the word of God.
Now that we have seen the foundation been eroded, been ruined, been displaced, been destroyed, and He want us to keep that foundation and keep to that foundation. All the things people are gathering together today, and then they have forsaken the foundation, They have forsaken salvation, holiness and the pursuit of the Kingdom of God, He says, all these things shall be melted away like element. That's why we must be diligent, we must get saved and remain free from sin, and be sanctified and be purified, and be without spot, without wrinkle, and without blame, waiting for the coming of the Lord because trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall rise, and we which are alive shall be raised together with them to be with the Lord, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
But make sure that the foundation is still remain intact, make sure you're not forgetting God and make sure you're not yielding to the pressure of flatterers, and to the sweetness of mouth of the flatterers, and God will keep you faithful unto that final day IN Jesus Name Amen.
