The Prevailing Power Of Persevering Christians By Pastor W.F Kumuyi

DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH WORLDWIDE.

SPECIAL SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE.

DATE:  05/07/2020.

MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.

TOPIC: THE PREVAILING POWER OF PERSEVERING CHRISTIANS.

REVELATION 2:8-11.

I welcome you to this wonderful day, a day of the Lord and that's going to be a day of strength for you IN Jesus Name Amen. You remember all the things that have gone behind in the past week, those are weak days, but now a day for strength and a day for Joy and a day for excitement and a day for serving the Lord has now come, and the Lord is putting a lot in our lives today, this service is very important for us, you will never be the same again anymore.

The Lord is sending a message to the church of Smyrna, if you vividly remember, we talked about this message last week that the message JESUS Christ sent to the church has a personal application to everyone of us, even though it has also a prophetic anticipation,  that is from the time Christ gave a letter to John and to give to the church in Ephesus, and the church in Smyrna and other five churches, all those letters of epistle from Christ unto the church had a prophetic anticipation. They were looking forward in every century, in every generation that will come until this generation, so, this message is still for us today, as we are getting near the end of the world, there's persecution everywhere, and Jesus Christ sent a message to the church of Smyrna  it was a persecuted church, the church actually was centered in a place where there was Caesar lawship and there was a lot of persecution because believers will not go along with the gods they are serving, that's why they were persecuted, but this was a persevering church and it has a message for the persevering Christians of today. Persecuted yet we are persevering, and we are hedge around and we are helmed around with all the difficulties and all the challenges because we will not compromise our faith and we will prevail and we will have the Power that prevails.

POINT ONE: THE REASSURANCE FOR PERSECUTED PERSEVERING SAINTS.

REVELATION 2:8-10.

He gives us a ‎Reassurance, He gives you in particular, He gives you all statement that, He's the first, He is the Last, He was dead and He's alive again, and because of that, whatever the suffering, whatever the persecution, you will come out of the brighter side of life IN Jesus Name Amen. And Jesus says we should be fearless in the midst of persecution and trials.

I. The Reasons for the Fearlessness of Purified Saints.

Revelation 2:8-10; Matthew 10:26-31; 2 Timothy 1:7-9; 1 John 4:4.

We have have that fearlessness because He Himself is by our side, He said He will never leave us nor forsake us, and because of that, He's always present, He's always there, His strength is always there, His Spirit is there, and the sustaining Power of the Lord is there and He will moderate everything, He will not allow you to be tempted, He will not allow you to be tried, He will not allow you to be oppressed more than you're able, and even then, He will make away of escape that you will be able to bear it. Fear not the conspiracy of the people that come against you. It is revealed to heaven already, it is revealed to Christ the Saviour already, and if it is revealed to Heaven and not according to the purpose of God for your life, it will not be, the Lord will not allow anything to happen in your life that is not according to His purpose, look at the sparrows, they don't have eternal life, look at the sparrows, JESUS did not even died for them on the Cross of Calvary, the sparrows cannot fulfil eternal will of God, they are not preachers, but all the same, not one of them falls to the ground without your Heavenly Father knows about it, you're valuable than sparrows, you're worthy and important and precious more than sparrows, and Jesus Christ said, none of the sparrows will fall to the ground without the Knowledge and permission of God, how much more yourself? The least important part of your life, of your body is numbered and knows unto God, your bones are more important than your hairs, your eyes ball are more important than your hairs, Your tongue and your blood system, they are more important than your hairs, and if the very hairs of your head are numbered, your bones, your veins are numbered and the Lord is going to protect you, Because you're precious, because you're valuable and because God is thinking of you, and because God has a plan and a purpose for your life, fear not, if the spirit of fear comes, then he's not coming from God, but he's coming from the enemies, enemy wants you to fear him so that he can get the better part of you, but you will stand. Hold that in your memory, hold that in your understanding that Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

✔️Christ Jesus is your treasure, your treasure is greater than your tribulation and your poverty.

✔️ Christ Jesus is your Provider, your provider is greater than your poverty.

✔️ Christ Jesus is your Benefactor, your Benefactor is greater than your blasphemers.

✔️ Your sanctuary, your refuge and your covering is greater than the synagogue of Satan.

✔️ the Lord Jesus Christ is your Saviour and your Strengthener, your Strengthener is greater than the suffering.

✔️ Christ Jesus is your Deliverer, your Deliverer is greater than the devil.

✔️ Christ Jesus is your Protector, He has Paradise to give you and He will give it to you, eventually, Your Protector and the paradise He will give you is greater than the prison.

✔️ your Triumph is greater than your trial.

✔️ the treasure that He will gives to you is Greater than your tribulation.

✔️ Our Deliverer is greater than death, there's nothing to fear.

II. The Resources for the Faithfulness of Persecuted Saints.

Revelation 2:8-10; 1 Timothy 1:12; 6:2; 1 Peter 4:17-19.

Persecuted Saints can be faithful and we have the resources to be faithful.

What are the resources we have to be faithful?

✔️ we have the resources of the Grace of God, that's why we can be faithful. 2 Corinthians 12:9.
✔️ The Goodness of God. 2 Thessalonians 1:11. The Lord Himself is good and it's all the time He's good unto us. That's why we can be faithful.

✔️ the Glory of God is our resources. 1 Peter 4:14. If we suffer, the Spirit of Glory and of life rested upon us, and because of that glory that rest upon us, that makes us faithful, we know that whatever the persecution, whatever the suffering, God's Glory abides in us.
✔️ God's promise also abides in you. 2 Peter 1:3-4. He has given us the promise that pertains to life and Godliness, so that because of that, you can have the new nature. There's nothing to fear and we have resources to be faithful.

✔️ we have the Presence of God to be faithful. Acts 18:9-11. He will never leave us so we may boldly say the Lord is our Helper.
✔️ we have God's Power. 1 Peter 1:5-8. God had a purpose, you're created, He had a purpose, you became a Christian God has pursue and He brough you into the ministry, God has a purpose, He's watching over your life and all things work together for good in your life, and in the church for those who are called according to His purpose.

He will give you the enablement, He will give you the power, we are partakers of His benefit flowing from Calvary, and benefits that He has purchased for us, they are all available, they are the resources we have and because we have those resources, that is why we are not afraid and that's why we are faithful and the Lord will keep you faithful all the days of your life.

III. Riches in Fullness for Persevering Saints.

Revelation 2:9; James 2:5; Ephesians 1:18; 2:7-8; 3:8,16-20.

This is not an idle minister, this is not an idle believer, this is not an idle member, internally, Jesus Christ knows the tribulation and what is coming from without, but what you have on the inside is greater, but Jesus Christ says, we are rich, Heaven says we are rich, the word of God says we are rich, the gospel days we are rich, He has enriched us, and we have the riches of His Grace, we have the riches of His goodness, we have the riches of godliness and we have the riches of Glory, and when you have faith, you will have salvation, when you have Faith, you will have purity of heart, when you have faith, you will have Power of God, and when you have Faith, you will have answers to prayers. When you have faith, you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, when you have faith, you will be able to walk victoriously, when you have faith, you will be an overcomer. He has promised everything to us, and we are rich IN Jesus Name Amen. That is what grace can do, and that's what grace can accomplish in our lives and we have the riches of His Grace in His Kindness, your inner man, your spirit, your soul and your mind and your heart will be strengthened according to the riches of His Glory. You will be faithful, and you will be fearless IN Jesus Name Amen. As you make your request know to God today, power of the Spirit is going to work effectively in your life.

POINT TWO: THE REGRETS OF PROFANE PERVERTED SUPPRESSORS.

REVELATION 2:9b-10.

Those persecutors that try to suppress the people of God and they thought they were all in all, and they thought they had the power and they thought they have the Authority and they thought they had the backing of the powers that be to suppress and to oppress and to persecute the believes. They are going to regret that even in this life and on the final day.

The persecutors don't know that God knows everything about them, the sinners, the oppressors, the suppressors and the scorners and the scornful people, they do not know that the Lord knows everything about them, they think we are the only people God knows everything that we do, He knows what the unbelievers are doing, He knows those who make you suffer, even before they bring out what they are doing from their secret place, already He knows and He knows what the devil is doing and what the devil will ever do. But when you endure, a crown is waiting for you up yonder.

I. The Ignorance of Saints' Persecutors .

Revelation 2:9-10; Deuteronomy 31:21; Isaiah 37:28-29; 66:18; Amos 5:12; Matthew 25:40,45.

They don't know that God knows everything about them, ‎God says, He knows everything because He knows all things, He knows their imagination, He knows their thoughts, He knows their plans and He Knows all the things they try to do. Is there anyone hiding there and to throw anything at the child of God, at you, God says He knows their abode, God knows what those sinners are trying to bring out, He knows what those sinners are trying to do and He will not allow them to go beyond the limit He has set. Those who suppress the Just, those who afflict the Just, those who persecute the Just, He knows them, He knows those who turned Justice around and those who turned Justice upside down, He knows about everything.

II. The Iniquity of Saint's Perverts.

Revelation 2:9-10; 13; John 8:37,44; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 11 Thessalonians 2:9-14; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:3-5,19,12-13.

God knows the evil things they do, the Lord says He know their iniquity of Satan perverts, they were perverted by the devil, they thought they were free, they thought they were at liberty, the iniquity of the unbelievers, persecutors is the work of Satan, and that's the reason why they do what they do it's the seducing, enticing spirit influencing them and the doctrines of Satan, they are working for Satan and they are doing the Will of Satan and they are preaching the doctrines of the devil.

III. The Indignation against Sanctuary Pretenders.

Titus 1:16; Matthew 25:41,46; Revelation 14:10-11; 20:10,15; Romans 2:8-9; Hebrews 10:26-31; Matthew 7:21-23.

They say they are religious but they are not righteous, they say they belong to God and they say they belong to father Abraham, but they do not do the works of Abraham, they profess that they are bible believers, they profess they they are Christians, but that profession is only the word of mouth, they profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him. Those who serve the devil here now and they don't repent, and if they don't turn around and if they don't believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and if they keep on serving devil ‎until they die and there's no repentance, they will spend eternity with the devil in the lake of fire prepared for devil. But thank God for the believer's life, eternal life will be your lot on the final day IN Jesus Name Amen.

POINT THREE: THE REWARD OF PATIENCE PROFITABLE SOULS.

REVELATION 2:10-11

We are going to be profitable, we will continue to be profitable, and that's why we are patience, and that's why we are persevering and we are profitable and we are going to have our reward. The Lord will keep you faithful, and as the Lord keeps you faithful, He will give you reward on the final day, you're not afraid because you know the One who succours you, you know the One who strengthens you is greater than any suffering the devil can bring, your Deliverer is greater than the devil, your Protector is greater than the prison, your triumph will be greater than your trial, be faithful until the end, we have the resources to be faithful, you will have a crown and nobody will take your crown.

What are the Promises of God for the faithful souls?

I. The Crown of life for the Overcomer.

Revelation 2:10; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27; 2 Timothy 2:5; 4:6-8.

You will have an incorruptible crown, you will have a crown that will not fade away, you will have a crown you will never lose and never miss, you're not going to be like a conductor getting people into the taxi to travel to a destination, and then you remain behind, you're not just going to send people to heaven, you will go there yourself, you've been talking about Glory, you're not just going to show glory to other people, you're getting there yourself, you've been talking about paradise, you're not just going to describe it to other people, you're getting there. Paul the Apostle said, He make up his mind, he will not be a cast away, you will not be a cast away because there's a crown waiting for us IN Jesus Name Amen. That's why we are praying for the Grace of God in your life, that everything we say, everything we do, everything we act out we will do everything according to the word of God, you will be crowned finally eventually. This suffering, this trial, this tempters and temptressess will not take your crown, God will not forget what you have done for the exaltation and preaching of the gospel, He's a righteous Judge, He will not forget your impact and your preaching and your influence upon people to encourage them and your influence upon people to make them have progress towards the Kingdom of God. The Lord has promised and He will fulfil it, you will wear a crown and nobody will take your crown IN Jesus Name Amen. Now we need to understand this, if we are not going to allow our crown to be taken, we must bear the Cross at this time, because, if there is no cross, there will be no crown, the cross must come before the crown.

II. The Cross in the Life of all overcomers.

Revelation 2:10-11; Matthew 16:24-27; Acts 14:22; 2 Timothy 3:12-14; 1 Peter 4:12-16; 5:8-9; Hebrews 12:1-4.

If you leave the cross behind and you're running empty handed, you're not bearing the Cross, how were you going to wear a cross when we know that there must be the cross before the crown? There are some people, they have their cross to bear, they leave that aside, they are not bearing their own cross and they are trying to bear the Cross of other people, they are not looking after challenge in their own personal life, and they are not counseling themselves, they are not advising themselves and they are not praying for themselves how they can bear their own cross and they are busy trying to counsel other people, help other people, and challenge other people, encouraging other people, let's be sober, let's be watchful and let's be thoughtful, if anyone will come after Christ, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Christ, Christ is exhorting us to continue in the Faith. That challenge, that difficulties, that trial, that persecution is our own cross, we bear the Cross happily, we bear the Cross cheerfully and Joyfully because we know we are moving nearer the crown, if you take Godliness as importance, as your making it to your final end, if you take Holiness as very important, the person that will make it to the final end, all that will be Holy, all that will be godly, pure, righteous and Holy shall suffer persecution, we must endure the shame, we must continue, endure the suffering, continue. Endure whatever may come as a result of you living an uncompromising life, continue, and as we endure, looking unto Jesus, we are going to have the Crown eventually. All those that do the will of God, when God called them and they responded, all those people that follow after the path the Lord sets before them, all the people that faithfully do the will of God, all the people that did everything the Lord called them to do not minding the cross, they must lay aside every weight of sins, because you cannot carry that weight and carry the Cross at the same time, we are running towards the crown, we are running towards the rewards and we are looking unto Jesus everyday of our lives, we will cross over to the very best of the path of life and when the final day come, we will cross over.

III. Our Crossing Over when this life is over.

Revelation 2:11; 20:6; Luke 20:36; Matthew 5:11-12; Revelation 21:4; 22:12-14; Hebrews 10:35-37.

It will soon be over, trials will soon be over, persecution, sufferings, labouring, challenges, they will soon be over, enduring to overcome will soon be over, and when this life is over, we are crossing over. The Saints are blessed beloved, they are blessed in Christ, they are blessed in the power of God, they blessed by the promises of God because the blood Jesus Christ purifies them, when Christ shall come, the people who are enduring, and cheerfully following the Lord and the second death has no power over them will be with Christ forever and ever and they are not going to suffer the second death, like Enoch and Like Elijah we shall be raptured, and die no more and we will inherit Glory.

We are nearer the end than many years ago, keep on enduring, Christ will come. ‎And because Christ is coming, you're not going to meet Him with an empty handed, you will evangelise, you will continue preaching, you will continue evangelizing, you will continue encouraging people, you will continue saving other people, you will continue visiting people and you will continue to be giving the word of life to people, do something for God so that you will not go before the Lord empty handed. When Christ comes, your sorrow and all your sufferings and all your challenges will be over, the door is opened for you, and you're entering into the everlasting city of God boldly, faithfully and courageously. If there's weaknesses in your life, pray that God should take them away so that paradise and the city of God will be yours. ‎
