TOPIC: A SPECIAL TOUCH
TEXT: MARK 5:30-34
Key Verse: "And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?" (Mark 5:30).
In one of the days Jesus went out to fulfill the purpose of His coming to earth, which is to seek and to save the lost, multitudes of people came following Him.
As Jesus was walking on the way, He suddenly asked, "Who touched my clothes?" His disciples were surprised at that question, and said, "...Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?"
Many people were around and touching Jesus from all directions, but a particular touch drew His attention. It was a special touch by a woman who had been sick with an issue of blood for twelve years. Doctors could not heal her.
The woman decided not to live with that sickness and shame any longer. So, she went among the crowd and touched Jesus by faith. "For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole". Her purpose and clear decision of faith to get healed drew virtue from the Lord for her healing.
Each time you pray, fast, read the Word of God, or go to church, it is an opportunity to touch the Lord Jesus by faith. Today, you too can come to Jesus with purpose of heart and expectation of faith like the woman with an issue of blood; touch Him, and you shall be made whole.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe; and I shall receive Your touch for my healing and health.
