MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: THE WORLD'S UNPRECEDENTED SUFFERING DURING THE GREAT TRIBULATION.
TEXTS: REVELATION 6:1-17; MATTHEW 24:21; ISAIAH 13:6,9,13.
The Topic we are considering today is a progression of what had been happening from the beginning of the Book of Revelation.
✔️ In chapter 1 of Revelation, we saw the glorified Christ.
✔️ In chapter 2 and 3, we saw the church and the message of Christ unto the churches.
✔️ In chapter 4, we saw the throne in Heaven, heaven was opened, the church is raptured. And at the end of the chapter, we found the throne in Heaven, we found what was around the throne, and what was before the throne of God.
✔️ And then in chapter 5, we recognized the Almighty God, the Ancient of days sitting on the seat of Authority, sitting on the final seat of Authority, and sitting on the seat of sovereignty, sitting on the seat of Royalty. He had a book in His hand, and that book contains all the Plan of God to recover the whole earth and to renovate the whole earth, and to restore the whole earth to its original Glory until it'll be given to Christ.
👉 There was a seal made in Heaven, and John saw that there was nobody worthy in Heaven to take the book from the Hand of God and open it, and to break the seals, and then he saw a strong Angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And there was nobody in heaven, and on the earth to open the book, and to break the seals and read the contents, and because of that, John the beloved wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto him, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And he beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. He got up, and He got the book out of the hand of the Almighty God, it was then the whole of heaven broke into Praises and worships because Christ the Lord had taken that book now, the content of the book instead of being read, it'll be demonstrated, the contents of the book will be dramatized, and then the second seal is broken, what it should have read for you to understand and for you to comprehend, what is in the book will be dramatized. And then the third opened, until the seventh. And when everything has been opened, and everything dramatized, the conclusion and the result of opening the book and reading what is there, and dramatizing what is there, the conclusion will be that, all the Kingdoms of the world will become the Kingdoms of our God, and the Kingdoms of Christ.
The whole earth at the end of opening all the seals would have been restored and renovated and redeemed and handed over to the Lord who will be King of kings and Lord of lords.
As we come to chapter 6, what we are reading about in chapter 6 is what will be taking place on earth while the church will be in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ at the Rapture. That will be the period of the Great Tribulation.
The Lamb of God is the One that is able to break the seals and to read the contents therein.
Jesus Christ spoke about different things regarding this event, He says at this time now, that is the time of the opening of the seals, what will be happening in the world after the church would have gone will be a time of great tribulation, it'll be a time of great suffering and calamity that had never been since the beginning of the world.
Look at all the famines in the world today, look at all the viruses, corona virus plus all the other viruses that had never been, look at all the suffering in the world, put everything together, you will know that the time time of the great tribulation, the time of the breaking of the seals will go beyond all of them. It'll be a time of suffering, it'll be a time of calamity, it'll be a time of damages, it's something that is worldwide, it'll be all over the world.
👉 POINT #ONE: THE UNCONFINED SUFFERINGS OF THE GERAT TRIBULATIONS SEALS.
REVELATION 6:1-8.
The seals were opened in those verses, and as each of those seals opened, an Angel told John to come and see, he saw something happened in each of the seals and there are four of them:
I. THE WORLDWIDE DECEPTION OF THE FALSE PRINCE.
Revelation 6:1-2; Proverbs 21:31; Daniel 8:23-25;9:26-27; Matthew 24:3-5;
2 Thessalonians 2:3-12.
This is talking about the Antichrist that will come as a peacemaker, he will come with deception, and with his deception he will rule over the world and destroy. When the first seal was broken, we find the worldwide deception of the false prince. Antichrist will make himself a peace prince. And when he had opened the second seal, John heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. instead of seeing what was written like the writing on the wall, he saw a white Horse, and when the Bible mentioned an horse, it signifies: The horse was prepared against the day of battle, the horse was prepared for the day of battle, when the seal was broken, he saw an horse, it's the time and the day and the period of battle, and then He saw the Prince of Peace shooting at the horse without arrow, He's the Mighty One, He's the One that is opening the seals, when His time comes, the world will see the wrath of the Lamb, the false prince sitting on the horse will come as if he's not going to fight, he will pretend, he will come in peace but he will come to destroy in subtle way.
You see the Lord Jesus Christ, He also had Crown on His head, He doesn't have an arrow, but He has a sword coming out of His mouth and with that sword of His mouth, And John saw, and behold a white horse: and He that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto Him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. He's going to destroy all His enemies, that is the false prince; he's an Antichrist, when he ride a horse without an arrow, it's by deception, he will conquer the world and they will accept him as their prince of peace, Satan will energized him and empowerd him and he shall destroy wonderfully but he shall be broken without hand.
II. THE WANTON DESTRUCTION BY THE FIERCE POWERS.
REVELATION 6:3-4; MATTHEW 24:6-7; JEREMIAH 8:11,15; 4:19-24; 30:5-7.
When Christ broke the second seal, what is there will be dramatized. John saw another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. The first horse was white, and that is to deceive people, he will come in his true colour after, there was Peace in verse 1 and 2, but it'll all deception and lies, he will conquer by craft, by flattering and by peace, and that peace will be taken away from them, and as he does that, there was given unto him a great sword and they shall kill one another, that's the time of blood shed. Everybody will be rejoicing, thinking it's a peace. At that period of great tribulation, it'll be time of fiery trial, Jesus Christ said, except those days are shortened, there will be no flesh that will remain alive, but for the elects sake, that second seal will be opened, that's the period of deception and devastation by war.
III. THE WARTIME DESTITUTION OF A FAMISHED POPULACE.
REVELATION 6:5-6; LAMENTATION 5:9-10; 4:4-9; MARKS 24:7-8; LUKE 21:10-11,25-26.
Christ is the One that took the book out of the hand of the Almighty God, and He's the one that is opening each of the seal, and when He had opened the third seal, John heard the third beast say, Come and see. And he beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. it'll be going from bad to worst. It started with a white horse, and then red horse, and now it's black horse, the horse is for a time of trouble waging war against the habitats of the world, that black horse symbolize the wartime, that, when there's war, there will be no time for cultivation, there will be no time for farming and food production will go very low. Nobody is going to be planting anything, and as a result of that, there will be scarcity of food. And when people go to their places to buy food at that time, they are going to buy for at the penny of their lives, what does that mean? it means they must give total submission and royalty and authority to the Antichrist, you must take the mark to be the part of the people that follow Antichrist, and anybody in the world at that time, if you take that mark, you can buy some foods and if you don't take that mark, then you will suffer with hunger until you die. if anybody will not take that mark, he will be killed at the penny of his life. There will be famine that had never been in the world, that's the time Jesus Christ spoke about.
IV. THE WOEFUL DEATH OF FRIGHTENING PROPORTIONS.
REVELATION 6:7-8; JEREMIAH 24:10; EZEKIEL 7:15,17,19; ISAIAH 28:15,18,22; 5:13-14; MATTHEW 24:3-8.
wars will be happening when the Peace is taken from the earth, and then there will be famine, diseases as a result of that, there will be death, and many people will die without hope and without Christ. It'll be 1.5 billions people, if the population will be 6billions, and so that means it's great number of people that will die within a short time, and it'll not be a Peaceful death, it'll be violence and terrible death. This is for the whole earth, it'll kill with sword and with hunger, that's what will take place at such a time. If you're born again, you will not be here at such a time that will be the time of great tribulation.
👉 POINT #TWO: THE UNCOMMON SUPPLICATION OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION SAINTS
REVELATION 6:9-11; ACTS 2:30,18-19,20-21.
By the time of the first seal, the church has been raptured,the dead will be resurrected and those that will be alive will be changed, given an incorruptible bodies, so, body, soul and Spirit will go to Heaven to be with the Lord. When Enoch and Elijah went to Heaven to be with the Lord, their souls and Spirit went to Heaven as an entity. in the raptue, soul, body and Spirit will go to heaven, they died during the great tribulation and their bodies was on earth, but their souls went to be with the Lord, the people who are Raptured and, their souls, Spirit and body will go to heaven, but those who will redeemed their souls with their blood during the great tribulation, they will be slain during that great tribulation because they will not accept the mark of the Antichrist, that's why they were slain, those people will be saved. But the question is, will people get saved at the time of the great tribulation? How can they get saved? To answer that question, whether the people on earth could get saved at that time or not, can they survived the three and half years of the great tribulation without food?
After the great tribulation, there will be signs in the sky, and on the earth, there will be blood (time of war). There will be fire outbreaks (devastation) There will burning and killing. When the moon is darked, and when the sun is no more giving its light, and when there's blood and great tribulation at that same time, whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. During that time, there will still be Salvation by blood, as they get saved at that time, to keep that salvation and to keep on holding onto the Lord will not be as easy as that.
I. THE COURAGE OF MARTYRED TRIBULATION SAINTS.
REVELATION 6:9; 2:13; 12:11,12,17; 15:2-4; 20:4-6; 7:9-14.
JESUS Christ will come back again after the end of the great tribulation, those who are saved by their own blood, they will rarely have to hold on and have real courage of martyred. Those who will stand on their ground at the time of great tribulation that they are not going to miss the second coming even though they missed the Rapture, during that time of the great tribulation, the Antichrist will be ruling upon the people and if anyone say they are not for Satan, they will pay for that with their blood. It'll demand courage, but you know, if God can give courage to those people at that time, today, God will give you courage, you will live a courageous life IN JESUS Name.
II. THE CONCERN OF MARTYRED TRIBULATION SAINTS.
REVELATION 6:10; LUKE 21:22; MATTHEW 23:33-35; 25:2; 2 THESSALONIANS 1:6-8; HEBREWS 10:30-32; REVELATION 11:18; LUKE 18:7-8.
Those martyred tribulation saints, nobody could make them compromise and they will not yield or bend, just because of martyrdom or because of persecution. There's going to be a different dispensation, the age of Grace, the age of mercy, and the age of the period of the children of God. Now that Rapture has not taken place and great tribulation has not come, live a Righteous life, love your enemies, and then when they persecute you, pray for them and do good unto them, and the good you do unto them will be like coals of fire that will melt the earth. And when the church is gone, after the great tribulation period, the Lord said that there will be time of vengeance, a time when He will avenge the blood of the people that the wicked people killed, the concerns of those martyred saints is that, God will be found Faithful and Holy and truth, that's the concerns they had, that God will avenge and God will do as He has said that He will avenge their blood.
III. THE COMFORT OF MARTYRED TRIBULATION SAINTS.
REVELATION 6:11; 3:4-5; 7:9-17; 14:13; 22:12-14; LUKE 16:25-26.
The martyred Saints will be rewarded now because of their faithfulness, Christ will say unto them that they should enter into the rest of the Lord. The Lord will accept them as Servants, and He's going to reward them.
Those who will suffer in the great tribulation, the Antichrist will not allow to buy or sell, many of them will die of hunger and some of them will be beheaded and because they will endure, the Lord will comfort them, they will cry no more. Whatever persecution we have today, is nothing compared with the persecution and the suffering and the trial that will happen at that time. Whatever the difficulty we have today, is nothing, incomparison with what they will have at the time of great tribulation. And of they will stand at that time, today I will stand, the Holy Ghost, the word of God, the promises of God are yes and Amen, you will stand, and God will not allow anything to happen today beyond your strength, the ability to escape and to overcome it God will give you.
If you cannot take the privilege now at this time when we can come together in the church, and read the Bible, and interpret the Bible to you, if you cannot stand at this time with a little insult, with a little assault, with a little persecution, with a little trial, with a little torment, you're trembling and shaking, if you cannot stand a little bit of hunger now, if you cannot endure the single meal, that time of the great tribulation, if you refuse the mark of the Antichrist, you will not be able to buy or sell, your children will not be able to go to school because politics will stand against you, the wrath of God will be against you, if you cannot stand today, is it at that time you will stand and endure? To escape that day, stand and endure today, if you endure to the end, you will be saved.
👉 POINT #THREE: THE UNCONVERTED SUFFERERS IN THE GREAT TRIBULATION SHAKINGS.
REVELATION 6:13-17; 13:13.
There's going to be terrible shaking at that time, those who will not submit to the Lamb that gave Himself for the redemption of the whole world at that time, they will hide in the rocks, because they didn't hide in the rock of Ages that was cleft for them, and because they didn't hide in the redemption of the rock, at the time of the great tribulation, they will now be hiding under the rock and the mountains. Then they will know that God is Almighty, they will know that God has all the Power, they will know that God comes out to wage war against the habitats of the earth, and because of that, they will tell the rocks to hide them. Everything coming from the Lamb and Peaceful, and merciful, but at this time of great tribulation, the Lord Jesus will not be coming with Peace, with invitation, but it'll be at the time of the wrath of the Lamb and everyone will tell the mountains to hide them.
As we look at the whole of chapter 6, we see wrath in three dimensions:
* The wrath of the Antichrist. There will be wars and rumours of wars, there will be famine, death, great sword in his hand to destroy.
** There is wrath of the adversaries. They will kill one another, if you say you're not following after the Antichrist, they will just take the sword and kill one another
*** There will be the wrath of the Almighty. Nobody will be able to stand because of the wrath of God.
When that wraths comes together upon the whole earth, there will be no Place for sinners to hide, if there's going to be any hiding, and escape, this is the time to escape for your life. The unconverted people will suffer much at that time.
I. THE TERRIFYING EXPRESSIONS OF DIVINE WRATH.
REVELATION 6:12-14; ISAIAH 13:9-13, 34; 4:8; MATTHEW 24:29; LUKE 21:25-26.
At that time of the great tribulation, it'll be the time of terror upon the people. Is the time of punishment, is the time of destruction, is the time of destitution, is the time of war, is the time of famines, is the time of sufferings upon the whole world.
II. THE TREMBLING EARTH BOUNDS UNDER DIVINE WRATH.
REVELATION 6:15-17; ISAIAH 2:10-12, 19-22; 24:21-22; ZEPHANIAH 1:14-18; PSALMS 76:7-8; REVELATION 9:20-21.
Many people are only for sand and cement, they are only for money, they are for certificates, they are for the things of this world, and because of that, they don't have any intentions of the heaven and they are not preparing for heaven, therefore, they will not escape the wrath of God. The same Isaiah that prophesied about the first coming of Christ, he also prophesied about the second coming of the Son of God, that the Government shall be upon His shoulder, He will reign Supremacy upon the earth. It's that same Isaiah that also spoke about the Second coming of Christ, is a time of the great wrath of God, when the first seal is opened, and it appears there's Peace and the second seal is open, wars and rumours of wars was given in the hand of the one on the red horse, and they were killing one another, and then after that, there's famine, pestilences, earthquakes, death and hell will follow after all those plagues. 25% of the world population will die just like that those who repented not. but in your own case, you will not be hear at that time. You will not see, you will not know the Antichrist, there's opportunity today to be saved and that's why we are not waiting for that time because today is the day of mercy, is the day of Salvation, today is the day when we can call upon the Lord and He will have mercy upon us.
III. THE TIMELY ESCAPE FROM DIVINE WRATH.
HEBREWS 2:1-3; MATHEW 24:36-42; LUKE 17:28-32; HEBREWS 10:37-39; 12:25-29; LUKE 21:34-36.
We need to give the more earnest to what we are hearing in the church and what we are reading in the Bible. we have heard about Salvation, about sanctification, about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, about the throne of God, we have heard message of Christ, we have heard about the fact that all of us should give pleasure to God and honour Him. we have heard about the way of escape, we have heard about the message of Salvation, we have heard enough words in the church, we must give the more earnest to those things we have heard lest they slip away from us and lest we forget about Salvation and rapture, and so that we don't drink, live, and merry like the people of the world and so that we don't forget the rapture. That's the reason why we should give the more earnest to what we have heard.
At the time of wedding, burial ceremony and in the school, many people forget about their salvation and their conviction, they forget about conversion, they forget about consecration, and dedication unto the Lord. At the time of sorrow, many people kill their lives because they forget everything they have heard in the church, they forget the Gospel of Jesus. Sometimes when people are going to get money, they appear as if they have never been in the church and as if they have never read their bible and they standards of the word of God, they forget everything they have heard, once they are doing ceremonies and they are celebrating, they forget that the Lord can come at anytime and if they are left behind, they will cry more than tears, their chance will be gone forever and ever.
Salvation, Redemption, adoption into the family of God is available now, any moment now, the trumpet of God shall sound, you will hear that trumpet if you're ready, there's no hope for the people who rejects Salvation, and the people who have Salvation and they backslide, they neglect their Salvation, although they were Born Again but they act as if they don't have Salvation, and their salvation is gone away, they will loose everything, they will regret because they are negligence of their Salvation and they abandons their salvation for the things of the world. If you have abandoned your Salvation, go back to Calvary and make sure that Salvation Is recovered and still there and intact. Be conscious of your Salvation everytime and when the trumpet shall sound, we will meet at the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ. But there's no hope for the people that ignores and neglects the great Salvation.
