TOPIC: BE PREPARED!
TEXT: MATTHEW 24:4-14
Key Verse: "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Matthew 24:6).
Uche was frightened because he saw something very strange that he had never witnessed before. Many people had died already and more were still dying in many countries of the world. Big and advanced nations like America, China, Italy, Spain, and many other countries with good hospitals were not left out.
A new disease called COVID-19 or the Corona Virus just broke out. In many countries, there was a total lockdown - people were not allowed to go out of their houses for weeks so that those who already had the virus would not spread it to others. There was tension everywhere. All these made Uche to wonder if the world was about to come to an end, or if everybody was going to die! Worry, worry and worry!
As the second coming of Christ (the Rapture) draws near, many things will begin to happen - wars, earthquakes, disasters, famine, strange diseases, deceptions, falsehood, fake Christianity, and many others.
All these are warning signs for friends of Jesus so as to prepare and make themselves ready for the coming of the Lord by living a holy life. Sinners are to repent and be converted before it will be too late.
Where do you stand? If the rapture happens today, where will you be? Jesus is coming soon. Be prepared!
Prayer: Father, help me to be wise and prepare for the rapture.
