MESSAGE ANCHORED BY THE GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT.
TOPIC: RECONCILING THE WORLD TO GOD THROUGH CHRIST.
TEXTS: JOHN 1:34-39; 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-20.
NOTES : Here is John the Baptist talking, and he's talking about the Lord Jesus Christ, and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. John the Baptist want to connect the world with JESUS. And so we understand that John the Baptist introduced Jesus Christ and he connected his word with the Son of God. The ministration and the declaration of John the Baptist was effective, and when he told his disciples to behold the Lamb of God, they rose up immediately and answered what he has said, and they followed Christ.
As you approach the Lord this year, and you want to dwell with Him, when you ask how God will use you, He will say, come and see. He will talk to you directly and you will see power, you will see converts, you will see Great wonders, and all the blessings of God in your life will be abundant.
And when you come and see Jesus,
å You will be A New Creature,.
å There will be power
å There will be anointing
å There will be blessing upon your life.
What you didn't see in the old years, you will begin to see in this new year. Old tears wiped away, New power, new anointing will flow through your life, and everywhere you go, you will find everything New.
Now that you're in Christ, you're born again and you're now a new creature, the Lord gave you a ministry of reconciliation, He wants you to reconcile the world unto Christ. Where you are is a circle, there's a circle of relationship around you, there are men, women, mothers, fathers, boys, girls and students in your circle, and then you have all the people the people in the world in your circle, the Lord wants you to reach all those little circles around you, He has given you your responsibility that you will reconcile the whole world unto Christ, He has not given you a word that will scattered people, He has not given you a word that will bring poison or acid into any heart, but He has given you the word of reconciliation that you will bring souls unto Him. He wants your life, your mouth, your tongue and your utterances to be attractive to people around you, He wants your disposition and your action and your character to attract people so that through you they will repent.
Sometimes these people might talk about politics, about pandemic and about the situation of the country, but as they finished speaking, you will end it with the word of reconciliation, you will tell them about Christ who died for them, and in that way, you will be fruitful, and you progress this year, and whatever question people ask, the Lord will give you solution. The Lord wants us to reconcile sinners unto Christ.
👉 POINT #ONE: SEEKING THE LOST, ONE STEP AT A TIME.
JOHN 1:40-42.
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah. Andrew made an effort to show forth the life of Christ, he was persuasive to bring Peter to Christ. When you connect with people on your platform, you will do something positive that will bring sinners to Christ and you will do it persuasively, you will so do it that nobody will say no to you, and all the people you've been speaking to in the past years and they are saying no! In this year they will say yes.
I. THE COMPASSION FOR A SINGLE SOUL.
JOHN 1:41; LUKE 10:33-37; MARK 1:40-42,45; 1 JOHN 3:17-18.
Andrew was not over ambitious in introducing Christ to Peter, he had compassion. If you want to take one step at a time, step down, think deep and understand that, God can use a single soul you win to expand the Kingdom of God, in winning souls, we do it one step at a time. Just a single soul Andrew won to Christ brought three thousand souls at the day of Pentecost, as a result of Andrew brought somebody higher, greater than him, more productive and successful than him, he brought a single soul to Christ and that single soul did something great, that's why we must have compassion for a soul.
Jesus Christ had compassion for a single soul, a single soul you win can be more productive and successful in evangelism. When Andrew brought Peter to Christ, Christ didn't rejected him, he didn't said one soul is not enough, He humble Himself and He accepted Peter. you must be humble like Christ,
🖊 don't approach people with a frowning face.
🖊 Don't connect frowning with Holiness, let compassion show in your attitude and in your relationship with people, when you show compassion, the Lord will work through your mouth, through your tongue, and miracle will happen to them immediately through you. One single soul that you touch will expand the Kingdom of God. If you have compassion, you will introduce people to Christ, and they will come.
II. CONFIDENCE IN THE SPOTLESS SAVIOUR.
JOHN 1:42; 6:37-40; 17:2; LUKE 19:8-10.
JESUS Christ is the Saviour, He's also spotless, He's sinless and Holy. when you bring sick people to Christ, you must have confidence that Jesus will heal them, have confidence that Jesus Christ the Mighty Redeemer will bring solution to their dissatisfaction, have confidence in Christ and their infirmities will vanish away.
It's your connection, and your appearance that will show them that the Father has given them to Christ and they will come. As you bring single soul at a time, the Lord will not reject them, He will save them. As you're bringing souls to Christ, believe and have confidence that Christ will save them because the Father has given Christ power over flesh, and nobody will so resist the word of God that Christ will not convert.
III. CONVERSION INTO STEADFAST SONSHIP.
JOHN 1:42,12; 6:67-70; 1 PETER 2:5-9;
2 PETER 3:17-18.
As we bring people to Christ, they will repent, and that repentance and Faith in Christ brings conversion. And as you're bringing them, they will be stable and steadfast. The Lord look at what people will be in the future, He doesn't look at their past experiences. When Andrew brought Peter to Christ, He knows Peter will be solid steadfast, dependable and stable. He knows the heart, He looks at us not according to our past history, He knows those that will be stable and steadfast. You will be stable IN Jesus Name Amen. He looks at what you will become in the future, Peter was solid and that stability and solidity, the Lord will bring to your life. No challenge and no wind will blow you away because you have the word of eternal life. Peter was not only steadfast and stable, he also became an encouragement to other people that they will be steadfast too.
👉 POINT #TWO: SHARING HIS LOVE, ONE STEP AT A TIME.
The love of Christ is so deep, so high, so broad, so inexhaustible, wider than any sea, deeper than any ocean that you cannot share it all once, but it's one step at a time. The love of Christ is what you share a little at a time. We have known the love of Christ and He wants us to share that love, we show them the love of Christ one step at a time, you're not going to tell them everything you know about the love of Christ at once, it's one step at a time.
I. CONFIRM YOUR LOVE BY FOLLOWING CHRIST.
JOHN 1:43-44; 8:11-12; 10:4-5, 27,30; 12:24-26.
If you're going to share the love of Christ, you must have tasted that love first. It's when you have a taste of the love of Christ that you can share it abroad. And when walk around, look up, don't look down, look up and see people, interact with them, touch their lives, don't just look down, look at their faces. As you're following Christ, you will humble yourself intimately, and that love should be practical. As you're following the Lord, all the condemnation will vanish away, not even investigating men will condemn you as long as Christ didn't condemn you. No condemnation will take effect in your life, even Satan cannot condemn you, you're forgiven, you're set free, your name is written down in Heaven, the words of Christ always carry power and power went with His words and healed the sick. When JESUS Christ say go and sin no more, Power, ability and the strength to live a victorious life will enter your life. Christ is the Light of the world, and all the power of darkness has gone if you belongs to Christ. If you belongs to cult before you gave your life to Christ, now that you've given your life to Christ and you're following Christ, all that power of darkness will vanish away. If you were in a secret covenant and you conspired against somebody in darkness, once you're following Christ, everything will vanish away and the light of Christ will shine forth in your life. If you're following the Lord, you will not follow any strange voice, if you have been Born Again, everything you want to do will be according to the word of God, you will do what Christ will do, you will act like Christ, you will talk like Christ, you will touch other lives, that's what you will do. Whatever Christ will do, that's what you will do. Even though He was persecuted during His earthly ministry, you never heard any negative word coming from His mouth. And as you're following Christ, you will not follow the false prophets and nobody will succeed evangelizing you to Satan. The Grace of God, the Joy to follow Christ intimately without looking back will be sufficient unto you.
II. CALLING ANOTHER LOVINGLY TO FOLLOW CHRIST.
JOHN 1:45-46; 12:20-22;ACTS 8:29-38;
2 TIMOHTY 4:2-5.
You call sinners lovingly, and you don't pump fear into them, you don't embarrass them but you call them lovingly.
Maybe you got married before you were Born Again, and now that you're born again, your spouse is still a sinner, as you're going to the church, you will not just leave her to stay at home, but lovingly you will invite her to come with you. You will take her along but you must call her lovingly to follow Christ. But if you get angry, she will not respond. The way you call her should be lovingly. If you're calling her with anger, with retaliation, he will not follow you. But when you forgive him, and you call him lovingly to follow Christ, he will follow and he will be converted through your life.
Maybe your children are not Born Again and you see the result on them, you see the way they dress, you see the way they make their hairdo, if you call your Child in angry way, he will not be persuaded to follow you, he might even be rude to you the more, you cannot win your children with anger, you must touch them and call them lovingly to follow Christ.
While calling them, don't loose your cool, don't loose your temperate, don't loose your love, let the virtue of Christ in you abide forever. Whatever they say shouldn't cancel your love. Call them and the Lord will save them. The Spirit of God knows the end from the beginning, whatever the Spirit of God says, something good will come out of it. If the Spirit of God tells you to speak to a stranger, don't ignore Him, through you that stranger can be converted. Don't keep your distance from people, if you act in a way as if you cannot get near to people with the way they dress, you're keeping Spiritual distances from the people, but lovingly you will get near them and preach the Gospel to them. Once the Spirit of God has spoken, be excited to take that thing up, no insult, no abusive language, no belittling people, know the question that you will ask people that will make your life attractive to them and make them to desire you. You must be a desirable sister, the way you comfort yourself, the way you look at people should make you a desirable brother that they will want to hear more about Jesus Christ from you, you don't look as if you're the most important person, you concentrate and you will be desirable to them. You're not approaching people with suspicion, you're not looking at your past experiences to deal with people, but you're approachable in such a way that people will desire you, and through you, they will come to Christ. The way you comport yourself should make them know that you have the answer to their problem, and that you have solution to their headache, you're the solution, open your mouth to talk clearly, if you're going to relate with people, you must talk to them as if you're familiar with them, talk to them as if they are your siblings, be clear in whatever you're passing across. If you use strange vocabulary to the strange person, he will not understand, don't talk to show your vocabulary, don't talk to show your status, if you want to win somebody, you must talk in a such a way that he will understand. You must end up talking Jesus, whatever the topic you're talking about, you end it with talking about Jesus, it's what has been written about Christ you expound, and that will link them to Jesus. You will have converts this year IN JESUS Name Amen.
III. CONTINUE TO LOVE AND TO FOLLOW CHRIST
JOHN 15:8-9; ACTS 2:42-47; 1 TIMOTHY 4:15-16; HEBREWS 10:35-39.
As you started loving Christ, you must continue in that love, be so much in love with Christ, nothing will keep you back, rain or sunshine will not keep you back. Whatever is happening, you will so much in love with the Lord Jesus Christ and you will continue in His love everytime. You will bear fruit in your marriage, you will bear fruit in soul winning, you will bear fruit in your profession, you will be better in this year than the previous years, Jesus loves you enough to save you, and to answer your prayers, continue in His love and nothing will separate you from the Love of Christ.
👉 POINT #THREE: SNOWING FORTH HIS LIFE, ONE STATEMENT AT A TIME.
JOHN 1:46-51.
As you go forth in this year, you're showing forth the word of Christ, when Christ comes to you, He brings everything that Calvary has accomplished. The Christ in you will not be a powerless Christ, He will not be an ignorant Christ, He comes into you with all His characteristics and with all His power, that's what we should show forth. You will not show forth anger, depression and sorrow. You will show the life of Christ as you connect with people this year, and your word will have Power, and Authority. You must believe and make sure that everytime you show forth the life of Christ.
Maybe somebody is saying can anything good comes out of this year? You will answer them positively, and you will call them to come to Christ and assure them that something good will come. Invite them to come and see the Lord, His Power, His miracle will be accomplished in their lives as they come.
I. COME AND SEE.
JOHN 1:46; PSALMS 66:5-8; ISAIAH 52:10; 1 KINGS 10:7-8.
Tell sinners to come and see Christ, and when you say that, say say that with confidence, say that with faith and with assurance, and you yourself will see the Goodness of the Lord.
Don't argue with them, argument doesn't win people, tell them that Christ will save their lives positively and practically, don't debate with them, tell them to come and see in this New Year, come and see Salvation, come and see power, come and see the fulfillment of the promises of God, you will see when you come. At the beginning of this New Year, come and see the Glory of God, come and see Salvation and healing of the Lord.
II. CARE AND SHARE.
JOHN 1:45-46; MARK 5:19-20; PSALMS 66:16;
1 JOHN 1:1-3
You must find somebody this year as Phillip found Nathanael, you must care and share, and as you tell them about Christ, you tell them because you care, you share with them Christ that can give them healing, call them lovingly and share with them. If they go to the herbalist, don't condemn them, and what you share with them the Lord will confirm. You must be care enough to share your testimony, if you have a particular peculiarities in your character that makes you stink and they don't want to come to you, but now all your bitterness has turned to sweetness, your appearance is so sweet now, and everything in your life is so sweet now, have enough care to share that with them, share with them about your past experiences and how you got a new life now. Your life is going to become brighter, you will share because you care and what you share will attracts them to love Christ.
III. CLEAVE AND SERVE.
JOHN 1:47-51; ACTS 11:23; DEUTERONOMY 10:20.
To cleave means you joint together so intimately with them because you cleave to the Lord. If they say something negative about your church, you will not allow that to put you off, and as you keep on inviting them to Christ, cleave to them, the Lord will make your life fruitful. You cleave until they respond, Christ knows everything, He's going to make success and progress out of you. He's going to turn your life around, all you have to do is to come and see and as they come, they will forget all rubbish things they have said in the past. They will believe and have Salvation, they will believe and have deliverance, healing and they will make progress. You're a mouthpiece of the Lord, tell them that they will see greater progress, greater breakthrough as they come to Christ. The Lord is telling you that you will see greater things than those miracles, bundle all those miracles you had in the previous years, and what you will see in this new year will be more, your life will be unbelievably spotless and sinless as you cleave to the Lord and serving the Lord. As you come and see, you will have salvation, sanctification, Holy Ghost Baptism, fruitfulness and Heaven will be open unto you. Wipe away your tears because this year is a year of seeing, come and see.
